Sorry to change the subject but I would like to make just a short comment.

I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year. I hope you all enjoyed the holiday without incident. I wish for you all to have a blessed 2009 and I hope that God will protect you and your family throughout the year.

I enjoy this blog. When I comment I sometimes use my name and sometimes I use “Anonymous”. Regardless, if I said anything in the past that caused individual hurt feeling, I want to apologize.

I hope all of our future will be bright and I pray that we stay, “One Nation Under God” and I hope our currency continues to proclaim "In God We Trust".

To everyone - Have a great New Year. Shake hands with someone you don't know and meet a new friend. Be kind to each other and always remember - Treat people the way that you would like to be treated, not necessarily the way they may treat you.

Jesus is already here and has been from the beginnning......you're just looking in the wrong places.
Try looking into the eyes of your brother. If you can't find him there you don't yet know what you're looking for.

I wonder if the Geiger's Counter in last week's BNG edition was also in reference to "out with the old Bush administration and in with the new era of change"?

Speaking of all this, has anyone read the bylines on the side of that other web sight? They are nothing short of bizarre.

There used to be some yankee who always wrote about drinking and how stupid we are down here as his main themes, and now there is some really weird thing up there by a local celebrity. The story is just totally bizarre. I can't even understand the point he is making.

In contrast when I read WG's articles, he has a human or animal or sports interest focus. It is either something heartwarming or something that makes me think, or something I don't care about that still makes sense. The bylines seem to flow and have a point.

I'm not trying to pick on anyone but I'm trying to figure out if it is me. The bylines someplace else are odd, like they are written by someone who can't focus or keep it in the road. They are about lust, beer, being a problem to society or teachers, nasty uncles, how dumb we are,etc etc.

Is it just me or is that more like the national lampoon?

I just read that. the whole thing is about how he likes to get under other peoples skin or nightgowns. You are right it is strange. I wish I had my four minutes back I wasted on reading that one.

I am not going to waste my 4 minutes even looking at it.
