the new herald-gazette website will go hot sometime soon. i am not going to predict an exact time because everything i have ever done involving computers resulted in at least one glitch.
when it does happen, the entire site will become a blog, allowing you to comment on each and every story. comments will be subject to moderation. abuse will not be tolerated.
on the site there is a tab for the barnesville green blog. it will continue on blogspot.com. this blog, however, will continue under the geiger's counter tab on the new website.
so enjoy these new features.
i would love to have your comments on how you like the new site. that will be the top entry on the new comment area. also, if you encounter problems e-mail me at news(at)barnesville(dot)com.
thanks as always for being involved. this site will continue publication for some time to allow access to old posts and, who knows, it may regain some sort of new life down the road.

Congratulations Walter. You are a great resource for the community. You report objectively and don't play favorites, and your staff and associates are professional and you all write very well.
I collect many of your articles and opinions to read again later.
Thank you.
Please do not publish pdf files like that other web site does for some information. Pdf files can be used to allow spyware to get into your computer and steal things from it.
Thanks for having the balls to publish all the details about Henry Abreu getting out of jail. What are our sheriff and city manager up to? Why are they so indebted to HA?
