WATCHING THE FIREWORKS FROM TOOD AND BRANDI'S YARD!

always liked seeing all the horses. we have not had many horses the past few years. even during the day and night people would ride horses around town.

josey wales, get off this post and go to the relevant post under ga sc game.

I love the fact that old friends come into town, and that everyone is usually happy and having a wonderful time! Buggy Days is one of my favorite times of the year!

I have been living in Lamar for 11 years. I really liked Buggy Days at first. Now, I still go, sometimes I enjoy it, others I haven't. Last year I was bummed out. Same old stuff, same vendors, same sights. I like the fact that they have covered seating at food court now, took them long enough to decide not to cook us all day long in the sun. We need to get more dealers, new people to set up some booths, bring us something new and exciting. Last year, I called my family that lives in McDonough and told them not to waste the gas, it was the same as the previous year, no sense in coming to see the same stuff. I have high hopes this year, I hope I am not disappointed again. Keeping my fingers crossed and PLEASE GOD don't let anyone get shot!!! Can't complain about the fireworks, they are really nice every year.

It's been the same for 30 years!!!

I'm with Bro. Josey Wales. Watching 'The Old Ball Coach" stick it to the bulldogs again was great fun and it makes BuggyDaze bearable. Many, Many loudmouths have been silenced.

I believe having juried crafts would be a vast improvement and would attract more people... and yes, I do volunteer.

Get more bands in the parade and get rid of Dick as head of the parade. I think he does a sorry job of parading.
Honor the ones living that started it.

Anonymous said...

who started buggy days and who were some of the grand marshalls in the early years?

maybe shanna english knows.

All i want to know is will LTV. be there this year? The last year my grand mother was alive they had buggydays on ltv all weekend, it was the best time for her. She was unable to go to town but they had a camera that looked at down town and then they showed the parade, she loved it. She is gone now but can we get somthing like that for the people who would love to go but are not able? I WILL GIVE MONEY TO HELP. oh and by the way GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!

I think a web cam would be a nice addition. As for me I can't make it this year but with a cam perched on Main or Market st. people like me could see a lot.

If not for this blog... Buggy Days would be the best thing about Barnesville <:)

Anonymous said...

see all those LOUD MOUTHED girls again barnesville is so well kown for, just what is the deal with girls from barnesville having to yack so load and so often?

Anonymous said...

BUGGY DAY'S! Now lets get drunk.

I BELIEVE BYRON SMITH STARTED IT TO HONOR HIS HERITAGE OF THE SMITH BUGGY FACTORY? I UNDERSTAND THE SMITH FAMILY BUGGY FACTORY MADE A "CORVETTE BUGGY" JUST FOR HIM.

BYROX:
WHAT YA SAY SON!

Anonymous said...

Dick Esco, is one of the original guys who start Buggy Days, and it looks like to me the only one still willing to stick his neck out to keep it going.

If it was not for him, it would definately not lasted this long. All the others gave up.

Anonymous said...

what about robins party? is everyone invited or invitation only. i have not gotten my invite as of yet

Anonymous said...

The JC's started it back in the early 70's. It was much smaller back then.

Anonymous said...

The Hickmans

Anonymous said...

How does Buice make you feel safe in the city he doesn't even allow his deputies in the city. Hmmm obviously it's the city that keeps the city safe.

Anonymous said...

I enjoy taking time off, spending quality time with the family, and reflecting on years past..then slipping into my birthday suit for an evening of drinking, strippers, and calling "Ralph!" on the big white phone!!

Anonymous said...

i got my invite to jazmans party in the mail today nanananana and you oooo didn't

Anonymous said...

The hickmans at b&l

GILLRILLA said...

What about the Hickmans at B&L?.....say somthin bad about them and I call you un American!Every Hickman I know has worked for a living to make there way in life and i have nothing but respect for them. If we all stuck together and stood up for each other like them the world would be a better and much safer place.

i got my invitation in the mail today. that was close i would have felt like an outcast if i were not invited to the party

Anonymous said...

Yeah everyone who is not invited to that party is a real loser.

Anonymous said...

What is this? Oh I know - the third grade.

Anonymous said...

nope it's not the 3rd grade and i bet you didn't get invited, so all you can do is find away to make yourself feel good by putting someone else down. wht a sad life

Anonymous said...

I like the greased pig chase. Its a good diversion from Michael Cloudt's Great Pig Chase up in Kennesaw.

Anonymous said...

Blues party is not going to be The fire marshal shut it down Joe B was not invited

Anonymous said...

I'll be in a sad state at Lamar Tire more than likely. I just adore Buggy Daze!

Anonymous said...

Everyone's invited except for JGM.

Anonymous said...

I'm glad to read that some other people have gotten tired of the same old thing every year and the hassle of trying to get through town just to get to griffin. If they could come up with some new ideas for buggy daze then maybe the thing would finally wake up and be fun again as it was when it was first started. BUGGY DAZE IS WHAT IS SHOULD BE CALLED BECAUSE IT IS SO BORING THAT IT PUTS YOU IN A DAZE!!!! And by the way, the real people of lamar co. don't miss anything if they are not invited to jaZman's or any of the other gang bangs.

Anonymous said...

Someone had a great idea on the comments for this week's poll. The pig chase would be the highlight of the entire weekend if we greased up the ones in uniform and let those hyper kids chase them down and tackle them... Do you think they would squeal?

Anonymous said...

JGM? IS THAT JEFFERY GLENN M.

Anonymous said...

I DONT NEED NO INVITATION! IM GONNA CRASH IT ABOUT MIDNITE BUTT-NAKED ON MY MOTORCYCLE!

Anonymous said...

DO YOU NEED AN INVITATION TO THE PARTY FRIDAY AT THE CIVIC CENTER OR IS IT OPEN TO ANYONE SINCE IT IS BUGGYDAYS?

Anonymous said...

the partys will be on greenwood st better have a flack vest on

Anonymous said...

WAS DANE INVITED?

Anonymous said...

Will that be Jeffery Glenn on the motorcycle at midnite? Hope not! what a terrible sight that would be.

Anonymous said...

If JB is invited then I aint coming can you blame me?

Anonymous said...

1:27

even if he was greasy and you could chase him????

Anonymous said...

How do the people on Thomaston street get away with that big party they have. It's very loud, I'm surprised some of the old timers haven't complained. Seems like everyone is having a great time though.

Anonymous said...

IT IS BEING MOVED TO THE CIVIC CENTER THIS YEAR TO MAINTAIN ORDER. HOPE YA'LL CAN COME.
