cant spell YOU without a Y chUmp

What an ugly game. Just my side line observation, but I think the Trojans are out of shape. They looked lazy and tired and slow.

Anonymous said...

They'll be bettwer when they get that 10 million dollar football field because when something ain't working, the Lamar County solution is to throw tax money at it.

Anonymous said...

HA HA 8:49 sounds like youre a little sore, tell me again 'bout beating them "golden pigs". HA HA

Anonymous said...

Who cares about the trojans......GO UGA BULLDOGS!!!!!

Anonymous said...

this team has no discipline. the punter is late getting on the field because he's down with the cheerleaders. one of the starting linemen, 68 i think, flirted with the crowd all night when he wasnt on the field. ane when the skirmish occured on the lamar sideline there were trojan players running onto the field without their helmets on, i remember 3 in particular doing that. do what you are supposed to do between the whistles and stop acting like thugs and hoodlums. and when youre not in the game pay attention to the game instead of worrying about who is in the stands. want to know what is going on in the stands? buy a ticket.

Anonymous said...

My opinion, a new expensive, for the taxpayers, stadium will not correct this.

Anonymous said...

1:24 when i said what i said at 10:44 i was being a SA cause money is being wasted "bigtime". i know it won't correct anything either. the problem is getting the people wasting the money to come back down to earth.

Anonymous said...

no a new stadium will not correct the outcome of games in terms of wins and losses but, the bottom line is, these kids will have a place to play whether its paid for by SPLOST or by raising the taxes of property owners so there is no point in arguing about what we dont need. we ARE GOING to have a new stadium. stop whining and live with it.

Anonymous said...

From this Trojan spectator, the highlight was Scan jumping up and down like a cheerleader.

Anonymous said...

3:58 YOU ARE A PROBLEM TO STUPID TO SEE REALITY.

Anonymous said...

5:34, YOU are too stupid to see reality. REALITY is that a new stadium will be built, renovations will be made to the high school, books will be purchased for use at the schools, etc. It will either be done with SPLOST funds or a property tax increase. So go ahead and whine and gripe now, it'll give you practice for the whining and griping you'll be doing when your property tax goes up.

Anonymous said...

3:35 i see reality. the reality is that a new stadium WILL BE built. it's a done deal. the only thing left is where the money comes from to do it. the property owners pockets only OR everyone that makes purchases in Lamar County.

you call me stupid??? how stupid is it NOT to vote for the SPLOST extension so that everyone pays for the stadium NOT just the property owners?

i dont own property. it would be easy for me to vote against the SPLOST and just let the property owners absorb the cost. but i do see the reality of it and support the SPLOST because it is for the good of the community.

i opposed the land swap that gave the city the current football stadium because im an alum who played on that field and want it to stay the home of the Trojans. but the deal is done now so i hope they spare no expense in building a nice new facility that the community, or at least the ones who give a rip, can be proud of.

i understand that there are people like you who will never be satisfied or who will always sit on their ass with a sour look on their face and not care about what goes on in the community except to sit at home and bitchtype about it on a blog, but there are MORE people who do care and support the community and it's kids and it's school and team, win or lose, and it's those of us who will enjoy the new stadium on Friday nights while you sit at home and watch reruns of Hee Haw and drink your cheap drinks and snivel and whine about how bad life sucks.

i feel for you and hope you will see the light and join us for a game in the new stadium once it is built. after all, youre gonna help pay for it one way or another.

Anonymous said...

602 let me make it easy for you. kiss my ***

Anonymous said...

6:02 pm you are right the stadium will be built books will be bought Ect..,and unmarried kids will be spitting out mixraced babbies, kids will be walking around barnesville with their pants down around their butts,SAT scores will still be in the tolit ,crime will still be on the rise(no matter how much the stats are altered),your teachers will still be buying DOPE,high paying corporations will still be taking their companies elsewhere, and you know what---there is nothing you can do about it

Anonymous said...

You can't fault the BOE or the LCBOC or the BCC what what they are doing. After all it is all of the peoples fault for being so ignorant and letting them do it.
It just goes to show you that a few people with a smigen of education can manage to get elected to positions and screw over so many people and they don't see it.

You keep saying that it's going to get built with splost or property tax but you all aren't smart enough to control the people you elect and tell them to manage properly. That's stupid with a "S".

Anonymous said...

10:42 we've got a good superintendent but the school board is so ego driven they don't give a damn about taxes. Go check what taxes they pay compared to you and be prepared to get shocked. Talk about taking advantage of the system in some way or another. Tar and feather and run them out town and lets get a new group to work with the super.

Anonymous said...

All of this BS is fine and good and I'd love to participate in the discussion but....right now, I've got to grab my Tech flag and run through the streets of Barnesville telling all fans of the Bulldog nation to kiss me and my friend Steve Spurrier right on the ass.

Anonymous said...

10:58 LOL,

If I were back in Barnesville, I would join you.

Anonymous said...

Don't count your stadiums before they hatch. Yes I will vote for books, schools and computers. I will not vote for a new field when a perfectly good one with ample parking was given away.. If our esteemed leaders would drop the stadium issue think about the facilities and resources we could have to improve the education level..by the way Friday night was the first time I've seem black boys with their pants pulled up.

Anonymous said...

10:41 That's a fine example of what one says when they can't discuss issues intelligently.

Anonymous said...

Would you vote YES for SPLOST if it included rescources for a course called GRAMMAR AND SPELLING FOR DUMMIES?

One comment about the game with MP...I wish I could turn back the clock to the 70's or 80's and let some of these kids see both schools in different eras. I wish they could have seen Gordon play. Watching kids on the bench blow kisses to cheerleaders is unacceptable. I find fault with the player and the bench coaches who NEVER react to this stuff. I saw a starter take off his pads in disgust and head off to halftime only to have to put them back on when it was determined that there was still time left on the clock. Find 11 players out of this bunch with some heart and build for the future. We'll win a few games here and there but never a championship with this kind of dedication. I like our head coach and admire his fire but his supporting cast needs to go to work.

Anonymous said...

Lamar Counties problems with disciplne and unorganization start at the top not with the bench coaches.

Anonymous said...

i agree it does start at the top and that is home with a mother and a father. then the coach would have no excuse. the years i played football you didn't even take your helmet off on the sidelines. not one kid out there could have played during my time not one.

Anonymous said...

I believe this is Coach Scans 4th year and it is time to see our program getting better but we seem to be going in the other direction. Fewer wins and fewer fans in the stands. Community support just isn't going to happen til we pit a good product for them to want to see. Back to back region champs several years ago, whats happened? Same community and same caliber of kids at the school.

Anonymous said...

I've said it before and I will say it again, "Until we get a NEW coach, we get the same ol team!" I have NEVER seen so many kids who CARE LESS about football. They want the glamour without the work!! Again.... Same ol product with same ol results!!

Anonymous said...

At what point and time do we look into the coaching situation??

Anonymous said...

Stop blaming the coach. It's the team in general, they suck and have no heart. Very few players on the team are actually passionate about the game and it's exemplified time after time on the field.

Coach Scandrett is very passionate and dedicated, but unfortunately he can not go out there and play the game for them. It's up to them to want to succeed.

Anonymous said...

It's all about attitude! The attitude of many of today's teens in Lamar County leaves much to be desired. That attitude seems to be "What about me?" I've watched teens working in fast food restaurants. They don't care about serving the customer with a smile. The only thing they're concered with is "How much do I get paid, and when am I off". The unfortunate thing is that they get this attitude from their parents. That's apparent by the comments from adults on this blog.

Anonymous said...

decipline comes from raising, attiyude comes from and reflects the coach

Anonymous said...

Isnt it the coaches JOB to motivate the kids to better themselves?? If not WHY have a coach? Thats his JOB!!! Quit making excuses and whip these kids into shape!! NO HEART = BAD COACH!!

Anonymous said...

you never saw a dan pitts coached player talking to the fans during a game, or take a time out on a punt formation.he would have put a boot where the sun doesn't shine. oh yea we have parents that think this is only a game. this is not only a game this is your kids life, and the way he will act the rest of his life depends on how he adjust during these times, he could quit or pull his jock strap up and hit someone. thats the only 2 choices.

Josey Wales said...

Football is a disipline sport.A team can have the most gifted athletes and still loose.Coaches are there to channel these kids and get them to perform a focused, disciplined, team brand of competition......and with these coaches at Lamar it aint happening. It's time for this coaching staff and LCCH to part ways.

Anonymous said...

The kids had no heart, I saw some of the starters smiling and chatting with people in the crowd while they were walking off the field at halftime after looking like a pee wee team on the field. If their proud of that performance I'd hate to see their report cards. Good luck next week Trojans, dont let the fans down again, by the way the visitor side was packed Friday so they still have our support. Go Trojans!

Anonymous said...

11:21 AM said "this is not only a game this is your kids life" what kind of F'd up person would think like that, can you say the KING of all jocksniffers, dude i'd hate to be his kid

Anonymous said...

When is it enough? Come on people, were not getting anywhere with this coach!! Ever stop to consider that LAMAR is the team everyone LOVES to play because of our weakness?? NOBODY takes Lamar serious....NOBODY!!!!

Anonymous said...

folks you people realy scare me its a damn highschool football game for gods sake you need to be trying to get these kids to worry about an education more than a goffy football game and you wonder why lamar county has so many problems with crime

Anonymous said...

Obviously you dont understand... where I come from Football is KING. But in order to be ON the team you MUST maintain a certain GPA. If you want to start as a Freshman you must maintainan A average. Why not REWARD class room skill with on the field action? You are talking apples and oranges. MAKE THE KIDS MAINATAIN A CERTAIN GPA!! I'm all about that, but if the coach WILL NOT enforce it, there's the prblem. AGAIN, it all comaes down on the coach!!

Anonymous said...

Thats the problem, too many weiners crying about class. Check the colleges, if your not eligable, you dont play... hmmm... what a concept!!

Anonymous said...

Go figure, trying to make someone better through sports? Maybe checking the grades? Maybe setting a higher standard? Not allowing failure? hmmm..... sounds like leadership issues. OOPPSS Did I diss the coach? I'm very sorry, maybe I need a time out?

Anonymous said...

Isnt this a football blog, not the panty waist "Let's all be nice" blog? No wonder there's no heart, we dont expect it from them!

Anonymous said...

hey 1:06 my children. # 1 graduated in the top 5 out of high school then graduated from ga with a 3.6 gpa and is now getting his masters from emory. # 2 child graduated 3 years ago and is a junior at ga. i credit great coaches and school support for alot of there success. don't be a woooooooos all your life.

Anonymous said...

great coaches are the reason your kids did good in school?now thats scary and just because your kid graduated top 5 in a public school is nothing to brag about these days with the way the system has been dumbed down so a certian race can compete unite jocksniffers of america no reason to have any leadership from anyone but a football coach thats what drives society

Anonymous said...

you are a dumb ass, my children went to private scools. the ath. programs taught leadership team work, these are skills that we as adults use everyday. so don't ussume anything. i also said the support of the school. you were a weird child i bet, let me guess you had a pocket protector. your children never get invited to the good parties either. thats your fault not the schools fault

Anonymous said...

You're the reason we dont have PE any more in schools. Lord help us if we have to do anything that requires anything physical. No wonder we have a generation of kids who can't or wont give ther heart and soul to make anything better. We dont need a better coach we need a better math tutor!!

Anonymous said...

chill out and drink a cold beer. oh that might not be the right thing to do infront of your smart children. they might learn how not to be so uptight.

I missed the game but I did hear how it turned out. We all seem to get off base from time to time, but if I read one post correctly it said that they would rather not vote for the ESPLOST if that meant that the school system wouldn't get a new stadium. If I read that wrong sorry but I would far rather the people that shop and even stop to get gas help pay for our schools needs. The middle school still has bonds that HAVE to be paid one way or another. Because whether we like it or not if you don't go vote or you choose not to vote yes then you have just made our taxes go up. Then we pay for it not the guest of Lamar County or the people that don't own property. I personally don't want my taxes to go up they are high enough as it is! I know I just got off task to that just irritated me when I read it. So those of you that are registered to vote please vote yes regardless of your opinion of the BOE or the decisions that have or have not been made the way that you would have liked. Just one last little bit of food for thought, if these kids had a sport complex that they could be proud of it may make all the differnce in the world. You get what you pay for!

Anonymous said...

I hope the Puppies win another game this year because all of are whining like hell because of that Gamecocks loss. Instead of complaining about the high school football team, why don't all of you join the Jacket Nation!!

Anonymous said...

The deal about the ESPLOST. Are they really that many stupid people out there that think saying no to something will cause you to be punished?

Anonymous said...

Get over it GIVE THEM A CHANCE. DRINK A COLD BEER AND COOL DOWN.

Anonymous said...

so building a new football stadium will cause the school kids to study more and try harder in school? now i know there is something in the water in lamar county

10:55 PM

it's not a matter of punishment, it's a matter of fact that they are going to build a new stadium. if ESPLOST doesn't pass, where do you think the money is gonna come from? HIGHER PROPERTY TAXES!!! if you are a prperty owner and DON'T vote for it then you are the stupid one. just the facts.

Anonymous said...

they pulled this same crap in spalding co they extort meony from the tax payers by saying either vote for splost or we will raise your taxes,i wonder if i went to the county and said you either lower my taxes or i'll burn down your damn courthouse, what do you bet i'd get sent to jail real quick, but here's the difference folks you either pay the taxes or they will bring their cronies (aka local law)with their guns and take your shi@# and throw you in jail seemes kinda one sided dont it-- but hay, folks its the goverment they can do what ever they want and you and i cant do a damn thing about it

Anonymous said...

7:23 AM i like that post thats a good one

Anonymous said...

I don't think the staduim or any of the other stuff will be built if the splost doesn't pass. I do believe however property taxes will still rise, reason being is the bond debt that has to be paid on schools we have built. This debt is currently being paid with incoming splost funds. If the splost comes off then the $400,000 a year being paid on this debt has to come from somewhere. It will fall on property owners. So if the splost fails property taxes will rise and we get nome of the improvements including technology improvements.
If the splost passes we get all the improvements and our property taxes will not be affected in this way. Notice I didn't say property taxes won't rise for other reasons.

Anonymous said...

Mo Money mo problems... That is all I have to say... I cant wait until the new stadium is built so all the counties problems will be resolved.

Anonymous said...

Na na naaa na, Na na naaa na, Hey Hey SPLOST Good Buy!

Anonymous said...

memyselfandi, I think the people of this county are smarter than you give them credit for. All but you that is, DUMBA$$

I don't think the staduim or any of the other stuff will be built if the splost doesn't pass.
9:50 a.m.

then where do you think the high school will play? their current stadium already belongs to the city who is waiting for them to build a new stadium so they can turn the current stadium into a park and duck pons. so a new stadium is a moot point. it will be built. the splost or lack thereof will determine how it is paid for. i dont understand how people dont get it. vote to extend splost everyone that shops in lamar county pays for it, vote no splost and property owners aborb the cost by having their taxes raised

Anonymous said...

Many moons ago people were capable of standing up for themselves and would fight before letting a few people take advantage. Now a days, almost all the people are pussies and wimps and either don't care or have forgot how to stand up.

That is how our great country is falling down. It's going to continue. It's taking place right here in our own county.

audreyh said...

Boy I just can't for the life of me understand how you could vote against something that is already in place. It's not taking anymore money out of your pocket then you already spend everytime you buy something in Lamar County. That little song of yours whatever your time was(anonymous) just shows that you may not understand exactly what theSPLOST is. If you can't figure out that voting yes is the logical choice and something that you are already are doing every day when you pull out your wallet, than you keep doing what your doing and those of us that actually understand about the SPLOST and what it means will vote yes and carry on:oq

Anonymous said...

It's not SPLOST/ESPLOST that's the problem. I think everyone understands that the idea is good. The real problem in the mismanagement of the funds by those few people elected to manage it and the people appear to not care about it.

Anonymous said...

We went from football to SPLOST?

Anonymous said...

You know, it is a shame that the football team, or the school can not get any support from the community! Maybe thats why crime is up, maybe thats why the school isn't great! Have you ever looked at any of the "GREAT Schools"! Look at how much there community supports them! I am glad i moved away from BARNESVILLE and now play at college level where the support is out of this world! just maybe if the community didnt down the future(kids in school or the football team) so much, that they would actually want to do better, but instead you as a community have put it in their heads that they "suck", are "no good", and "cant do right"! Have you ever thought about the actions and things yall have said! I think you should!
Go Trojan football, I support all my brothers for life! You know who i am! former football player of last year!
Thanks,

Excuse me, but is anyone being held hostage in Barnesville, Lamar County, Georgia? If you don't like Barnesville, Lamar County, our leaders, our schools, our athletics or our kids, then pack up and move away.

Anon 2:18 You don't know what your SCREAMING about, so why don't you just hush up. I believe I might know who RCTC is and he's an intellgent, fine young man with a great future ahead of him. Just because someone is passionate for "the game" doesn't always mean they are going to be "gangsta". Get a life.

Were not "blaming" the kids, were "Blaming" the coach. If you have EVER played sports you know it's not the level of talent, but what you do with what you have. Its up to the coach to make these kids reach deep down and achieve the best they can be. But we are not seeing that. What we SEE is lazy, undisciplined, lazy kids. I'm all for praise, but show us you are trying. So far I havent seen heart in this team! And it all starts at the top. I also believe thats why you dont have support. Why should we support if you dont care? Just because your in our schools? Get real, people support teams that are giving 100%. Dont know about you, but when I played if we lost, it hurt, I didnt talk to anyone and I took it personal. I went to practice the next day trying to improve. It payed off, two state titles (At another school) and a scholorship. Now, do these kids deserve this "praise" or do they deserve the truth?

Anonymous said...

There are young men on this team that really want to win. I know a lot of the kids on the team and most of the team is not lazy or undisciplined. Perhaps everyone should be asking the coaches why the players are not being worked out like last year's team. I am wondering if the coaches have written this team off already and consider it a rebuilding year!!! Region 5AA is wide open this year and a 4-4 region record can get you in the playoffs! Remember we haven't played a game in our region yet. It starts Friday night. If you have posted a blog on this site I hope you are there supporting this team.

Anonymous said...

You know, i know some kids are lazy, and yes it does start from the top, and when i lost a game, i hated talking to anyone, i could of cared less about anything right, then and there! and 2:18 i never said to H$%% with education! That is what should be first on everyones list when they are in school, then sports! I mean, i could blow a knee tomorrow, and football years are over, thats why i know it is importen to have an education to fall back on! All i am saying is, that football is supposed to be A LOT OF HARD WORK, and fun! Friday nights are supposed to be about flying around, and hitting people! Not talking to the crowd, not playing around with all your little buddies on the side line! If i wasnt in the game, i was on the side line, watching my position! If they took the right step i knew it, if they took the wrong step i knew it. I Busted my butt everyday at practice! I loved practiced! You have to have love for the game, to play the game! IT's about HEART! and i know of a few that have it... and question alot that i dont know if they have it!
I know its long, but i am in study hall, finished with ALL my work, and only have a few mins left.
