on a five-year-old?
reports indicate this actually happened here in lamar county recently without law enforcement getting involved.
apparently authorities think the dad is still a better parent than the mother. she must be a class act!

Hmmm, daddy must work for the sheriff's dept and has access to their tasers.
actually, tasers are legal in most areas - including here.
i checked online. just google 'tasers'.
It would depend on the circumstances. How old was the kid? If he was 16 and coked up, it might be justified.
But are they legal to use on children? They let this man get away with that, yet they question spanking (not beating) as a form of discipline. I have raised children, and I consider this one of the cruelest things you could do to a small child. And to think that the mother is worse...poor child!
Who handled this? The PD or the SO?
Im calling the news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Scoop....did you leave out part of the story by chance? Was it an accident?
you know all i know but i am digging on this and urge anyone with info on the case to e-mail me at news@barnesville.com.
I dont have a kid but my dad never needed a tazer. He tought me respect. ide fite tarzan and tyson before me or any outher bad ass s.o.b will lay a hand on my mom or dad.If you got kids teach them respect, raise respectible humans or dont breed! Then you will not need a tazer.
A father who is so callus to use something like that on his child, should have to have the same thing done to him, while he is sitting in a tub full of hot water.
no new info scoop?
only new development is i have confirmed the sheriff's office and barnesville p.d. did not work it.
it will take a tip from someone out there who knows something.
Lamar county DEFACS is a joke. I have first hand knowledge of the injustices done to my very own grand children but when you report your supicions they don't investigate. The mother and her whole family have been in the system I know for at least fourteen years and have been told that the environment was not suitable for the kids yet and still they do nothing to change the situation. Thank God my son finally wised up and got out of the situation and yet they tell him he has no right to custody of the kids. He never signed any legal documents relinqishing his parental rights but the bi--h won't even let him see the kids. Where is the justice in this. In the long run my grandchildren are the ones who are really paying the price for DEFACS not doing their jobs.
Get a lawyer
As the paternal grandparents we were told that we did not have any rights. That it was up to the mother whether we got to see the children. Where is the justice in that? Even though we are the paternal grandparents those children still have my sons' blood running in their veins.
I think you need to get a second opinion.
How could you have rights??
If the kids are born out of wedlock the father don't even have any rights to the kids. The father has to get the kids legitimize. Until then the mother has all full legal rights of the kids. So therefore ,if the parents are married the parents (mother or father) saids what goes for the kids. There is no grandparnets rights in Ga.
