Hey Walter,

Wouldn't it be nice if those who already subscribe to the Barnesville paper had a password for this web site so they can read "the rest of the story" on line.

Walter,
Someone has a good idea. We also wouldn't have to filter all the sales ads.

Would you be willing to pay an online subscription rate? If so, what would a fair rate be?

restaurants, apartment, bar, gas station, camping, cabins, auto sales, miniature golf, rafting/kayaking and prison....

No, no online subscription fee. Unless you intend on producing the same amount of online content as paper content, then I don't want to pay for both services. This online site is nice for up-to-date, big news, but the paper has all the other news. And, like i have done with BGN, unless the online content is worth paying for, then I will stop visiting.

I drive this part of the interstate daily and frequently I see Lamar county Dept. Sheriffs pulling motorist over north of exit 201 (Hwy 36). This is Butts County jurisdiction. How do they get away with it??

Barnesville and Milner
Firefighters get simultaneous Main Street alarms

Area firefighters were busy in Milner Friday afternoon battling a blaze that broke out at Cruisin Auto Finance on Main Street. A large pickup truck and a trailer used for hauling vehicles were totally destroyed.
The fire was contained within a fenced-in enclosure at the business and no other damages or injuries were reported.
The event was complicated by a simultaneous fire call at a similar address on Main Street in Barnesville that proved to be a minor blaze that did little, if any, damage.
