sends one man to an atlanta hospital via lifeflight.
this vehicle was involved in a head on collision near the intersection of thomaston and spencer streets. as onlookers tried to help the driver, the car rocketed down the sidewalk and hit a house at 801 thomaston - nearly a block away.
the driver was wearing an oxygen mask and reportedly had just been released from the hospital. at this writing he is bound for another.
several passengers in the other vehicle involved suffered cuts and abrasions but were not seriously hurt.
