in ward 3, incumbent sammie shropshire defeated dorothy carter 128-43.
in the house district 127 race, billy maddox took lamar county with 284 votes. bonnie gardner had 139 while jim fletcher had 113.
at this writing, maddox leads districtwide with gardner running second.
