trojans trailed 27-7 when the rains resumed...

near the end of the third quarter in roberta tonight.

the trojan defense collared crawford county quarterback brandon byram (11 above) on this play but he gave them fits for much of the evening.

i'm sure someone will update us with the final score.

Total collapse. The kids don't know football any more than the cheerleaders do.

Scandrett, Stroebel, & Chaffin should start packing. 1-9 record not good in one of the weakest regions in AA. Thank God for Meadowcreek.

Tim said...

Typical crap like always. The kids don't know where to line up. Back to back timeouts, too many on the field, just total chaos. You have the HC calling the offense and the defense while everybody else stands around. Play calling was awful, it was a total joke.
Do we even practice? There is some talent on this team, but they are going nowhere fast with this guy.

The last time the Trojans lost to Crawford County by that many points, Mike Pack was the head coach and Calvin Scandrett was the defensive coordinator and he still don't know how to coach defense.

Add all the scores the Trojans opponents have scored since Coach Scandrett has been back at Lamar County and add all the points that the Trojans have scorec and see what you get. Leave out this year since a lot of people claim it's a rebuilding year and wants us to take pity on the team for that; but when Mark Wilson was here, he had rebuilding years also; but he dealt with them in a winning form.

Enought said. We need and deserve a new athletic director and head football coach and please not none on the present staff.

I am trying very hard to be a Trojan supporter, but in all honesty, this team just sucks. I blame it on Scan. He isn't tough enough, so the thugs are in control. There were players on the sidelines out of uniform who were busting slack, a GIRL hanging out on the sidelines, and a player who was dressed out who totally disregarded one of the coaches regarding the use of an umbrella on the sidelines, not once but three times. Then this same player made rude hand gestures to the spectators in the stands. The whole game was marred because of all the insanity on the sidelines. And, 7:51 the other coaches could probably take the cheerleaders and make a better team than Scan has fielded with his thugs this year.

Okay Tony..You read this blog. Now tell your wife to put pressure to get rid of Coach Scandrett.

The team knows no disipline.

We all know the reason he's not fired.

TO SCANDRETT

SUBJ: PROBLEM

I KNOW I DONT MAKE 80,000 A YEAR BUT PLEASE BARE WITH ME. THE GUYS YOU HAVE STARTING ARE THE SAME GUYS IN THE 9TH GRADE THAT YOU LET STAND AROUND AND WATCH PRACTICE OR BE THE HITTING DUMMIES. THESE GUYS NEED EXPERIENCE AND LEARN YOUR SYSTEM. YOU NEED TO TAKE ONE OF YOUR ASSISTANT COACHES (EVEN THOUGH IT HURTS THEIR EGO) AND MAKE HIM HEAD JV COACH. THEY NEED TO PRACTICE SEPARATELY FROM THE VARSITY. HOW ELSE WILL THEY LEARN. EVERY OTHER SCHOOL (ESPECIALLY MP) SEPARATES PRACTICE. THIS GIVES THE YOUNGER ONES A CHANCE TO LEARN. THEN THEY WONT BE LEARNING ON THE FIELD BY THEIR 11TH AND 12TH GRADE YEAR

No, we don't all know the reason Scan is not fired. Please enlighten those of us in the dark.

I surely don't understand how he has made it this long either. It was obvious in the first couple of years to me.

Anom 9:10AM.

You just hit the nail on the head with being in the "dark". That's the reason.

If the coach was "enlighten" he would have been fire.

9:34 I guess I should have given it more thought, because now that you say it, I should have been able to figure it out on my own. Enlightening is what the Trojan team could use.

I don't care where it comes from, I just want yo see some COACHING!!!!

it IS time for a change. i have backed this program forever and always will but the product we are putting on the field this season is nothing short of embarrassing. i dont see us winning another game this season unless there are some drastic changes. i would never try and second guess a coach but i have some suggestions for drastic changes. put the best players on the field. offense, defense, special teams. if it means kids have to play 48 minutes, so be it. turn up the heat in practice and see who wants to be a part of a winner. screw feelings, coach, youre nuts are on the line here. unless you can prove that you can put a winner on the field your days are numbered. the talent is there. the discipline is not. and if it means losing some talent to gain some discipline, so be it. ive watched other teams running backs stick it up in the line of scrimmage hard whether they were gonna get buried or not. by the same token, ive watched our running back, and we have a talented bunch of them, tip toe up into the line of scrimmage afraid to get hit. find some kids that have a pair and put them in there and let them play with reckless abandon. its obvious to me that our line is not very good at pass protection but they are decent run blockers IF the backs would hit it up in there. we play decent defense but when our offense is three and out and giving up the short field all the time its hard for the defense to keep folks from scoring on us. if i were the head coach, and im not, i would go out to practice monday balls to the wall and find out who wants to play and if i showed up to play macon county friday night with only 15 or so kids dressed out, by gosh, they would be 15 of the toughest sumbitches to ever wear the navy and white

Anonymous said...

9:14 you are right about the jv players having to basically sit back and watch during practice. I knew years ago that this was gonna come back and bite them in the ass.

By the way...why would a coach in this area make that much money? That is unreal!

All of you are wrong. Coach Calvin Scandrett is a fine man and a really good football coach. Scan is a positive influence on students in the classroom and in the community. He takes his personal time to check up on his players and to make sure injuries are being taken care of. Scan also does a bang up job with the monies that the program takes in....and that is a new policy here. We don't owe the countless thousands to the Varsity. He is disciplined in all respects of life. I like him and respect him and all of you who are knocking him down should just hush.

Anonymous said...

No one is saying he is a bad man, just a bad coach. He has been given time and what has he done? I would like to make that much money....loosing!

Anonymous said...

12:06 You have just proven my point about the thugs on the Trojan team. Judging from your filthy reply, I must've hit a nerve. Perhaps you were one of the players mentioned in my earlier comment. If so, then you need to straighten yourself up and play football with some pride. If not, and you are one of the players who do give 100% then I apologize for offending you. Unfortunately, the whole team will be judged by the classless actions of a few.

Anonymous said...

Y'all are correct in saying that Calvin Scandrett is a good man; but being a good man doesn't make you a good head football coach.

Barnesville and Lamar County are progressive and should have a football team that is not the laughing stock of the region. It's not the players fault, it the fault of the coaching staff.

Coming on BOE, let's get a new coach and if it's micro managing, so be it.

Anonymous said...

I have to agree with the comments from the assumed players. It's sad that a group of adults come on this blog and downgrade these HIGH SCHOOL football players. Do you think they don't come on this blog and read what you write? How do you think saying their coach sucks and needs to be fired makes the players feel. You tend to forget that these kids are just that. They are high school players. They are not college players. These players practice everyday until 6pm then must go home and do the 6 page report from one class, the numerous math problems from another, learn a new language, and remember all the generals of the civil war just to get up early in the morning to catch a bus that arrives at 6am and do it all over again. Sure you will come back with "thats just life" but give them a break. So they don't win every single game they play. Sports give students something to do that keeps them off the streets and out of trouble. Football is doing just that for these students. The adults on this blog need to grow up. Go back to cutting down the Sheriff's Department or the Racist wars that you seem to enjoy. These High School students should not have to put up with the crap you are feeding them.

justapinch said...

Do you really think that the kids are going to get their opinion of Scan from this blog?. They've already formed their opinions. Often times players will dislike their coaches even win they are winning a bunch, because the coaches set rules and enforce them. The team is bad because there is no discipline. Everyone knows that. There is a reason why Wilson won region championships and Scan has not made the playoffs in five years. This isn't by accident. Look at the facts. He builds a team for four years and what's the end result? A senior filled team with a college bound quarterback that goes 6-4 and doesn't make the playoffs. That's his best record in 5 years. This team is probably going 1-9. Please BOE stop the bleeding. Its not working!! Kids get away with whatever they want and there is little done about it. The star player throws his helmet on the sidelines, then sits on the bench with an umbrella over him. An umbrella! Then he gets sent back in to play defense. Other players get away with whatever they want. The superintendant is the one making sure that there is no debt, so please don't make that a reason why he must stay. The JV hasn't won a game, the varsity has won one. This program needs a complete overhaul and it starts at the top.

Anonymous said...

4:01, this isn't about the Trojans not winning. It's about the lack of discipline from their head coach which in turn sets the standard that allows some players to behave like morons. If you were at the game Friday and paying attention, you should know what is being said here is true. The buck has to stop somewhere and it's time for Scandrett to step up and raise the bar for Trojan Football or step down in shame. If the Trojans were a well disciplined team the losses would be easier to swallow. Discipline in athletics should be the highest priority because as the Trojans are proving, you can't win without it.

Anonymous said...

What does "Not being disciplined at home" have to do with Football Discipline? If Scan had any guts he would lay down the law, if you dont follow the rules your out. It's THAT simple. But There's NO back bone in the coach, therefore you get what WE have!!

It's amazing how these people are criticizing Coach Scandrett. He's a dedicated and compassionate coach. It's obvious that he cares about his team and coaches.

As to the people that are referring to the players as "thugs" and such, get a life! These kids are not thugs, they are just normal high school kids. It takes a lot of dedication for them to even commit to practicing 3-4 hours and 4 days a week.

Winning is Good but it's definitely not everything. In the grand scheme of things it's really NOT going to matter how many darn football games a kid won!

The entire athletic program at LCHS is in shambles, ask the members and parents of the other sports teams. I can assure you Scan is still calling the shots and directing the spending. Maybe the team needs some more sweats and hoodies. Sweats are great to wear around your knees. Not only do some of the football players need to be removed from the team for inappropriate behavior there are a couple of young ladies that need to be removed from another sport. Ask Scan he knows about it. In the meantime if you are one of the athletes that show up for practice, work hard to improve, support your team members that are doing the same then hold your head up, have faith and change will come.

I don't why anyone is surprised Lamar County has a lousy football program. It's also a lousy school and you are crazy if don't think both of those things are related. It starts with parents instilling a good attitude in their kids which will help succeed athletically as well as academically. It seems this county has a higher percentage of scum than most places and unfortunately this is showing up in our high school.

Something needs to be done earlier in life to prepart these kids to be successfull adults and to show them there is more to life than hanging out in the Giant Mart parking lot.

Thank you keith Martin!! Coach is a good man! He knows football! I do disagree with the "star" football player of the team having a umbrella on the side line! What has football become! Its rain deal with it, that is when the game becomes fun! and as for 4:01; yes football does give the kids something to do besides being on the streets! but Thats one of the things i dont understand anymore, all of these kids complaining about how long practice is, and how they do not have enough time to do home work! If you love the game, then you will love practice, and you will find time for school work! Even if you have to give going out with your friends on a tuesday night! I play college football, and i understand some of these kids are not going to play college football, but I get up every morning at 4:30am to go lift weights, and run with my TEAM! then i go stright to school, then after that i go stright to football, I dont leave school till 7 sometimes 7:30pm that night! then i have papers, and other work to do for school, I only get about 4-5 hours of sleep a night! and repeat all that everyday! There is no reason why a HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PLAYER CAN COMPLAIN ABOUT NOT HAVING TIME TO COMPLETE SCHOOL WORK, OR FUSS ABOUT NOT HAVING SLEEP!!!! also to tell the truth, i do believe there needs to be a lot more discipline. I would like to know what that kid had to do today at practice (monday, sept. 24, 2007)!!! But i in no way down this team! THEY ARE MY BROTHERS KEEPERS! I will support them, and fight for them! also no one has any right to down any of the coaches! You think you can do better, then go get some little league team, and coach them! b/c most of yall dont even have the education to be a head football coach, You may know one formation, or a few plays from watching your college football, but you try to teach it, and run it right everytime, with everyone steping the right way, and using the right technique! I would love to see it happen!
THANKS,
To all my brothers keepers on the TROJAN FOOTBALL TEAM!

Ok, let me get this right. I am a taxpayer in Lamar county, I pay School taxes, I sent my kids to this school, I played football when I was in High school (not at this school) So I DO know football. You're telling me I dont have the right to "knock" the current coaching staff? What ever happened to accountability? Set aside morals and friendships, is this current coach getting the job done? If you say "yes" to that question then we need to re-evaluate our standards for a football team.

Anonymous said...

Just the facts, Coach Scan came to Lamar in 2003. The 2 years prior Lamar had a combined record of 17 wins, 4 losses, and back to back region titles in 01 & 02. Since 2003 the Trojans have had 1 winning season, that being last year with a record of 6-4. The combined record of the 6 teams we beat was 15 wins and 45 losses with 2 of the teams ( Pike & Meadowcreek going winless ), not exactly whipping up on stellar competition I would say. In the past 4+ seasons the Trojans have beaten 1 team that had a wining record at the end of the season ( Jackson 03) and have a combined record of 17 wins & 27 losses. Not exactly the results that I am looking for as a fan.

Not bashing anyone just stating the facts.

The facts however along with the lack of organization & discipline I have witnessed on the sidlines on Friday nites have allowed me to form my own opinion and that is its time for Lamar County football to go in another direction.

Who pays Goober Martin more than $80K a year? Suckers.

Anonymous said...

Guys,
Football is not anything to get riled up over. It's just a game that doesn't mean anything. If they won every game, it wouldn't put any more food on your table. If they lost every game it wouldn't affect your rent. I'll bet those of you who are so angry are just trying to relive your life through someone else. It doesn't work that way. As Bill Murray said in "Meatballs" , "It just doesn't matter." Because they keep score someone has to lose and it just doesn't matter. Why does a kid using an umbrella make you so angry? It didn't affect you one bit. Just because they don't act the way YOU want them to doesn't mean the world is coming to an end. It just doesn't matter. Grow up and get your own life. Quit trying to live through those kids.

Anonymous said...

The post above was the dumbest post I've ever read on a message board. A Bill Murray Meatballs quote? Football teaches our young men character, respect and discipline. Players don't learn these things when the coach doesn't make them accountable for their actions. It's not really about wins and losses for me. It's about the lack of discipline in that program. Everyone knows that it's a joke............but at this point no one is laughing anymore.

Anonymous said...

Credibility.????.. goober oh puleezzzee, how many jobs ...excuse me appointed positions has he had since 1985??

again let's look at the entire athlectic department, hold not only Scan and company accountable but who has allowed this to go on? this year is shot for football, softball, cross country etc, let's start making changes for next year

I really like and respect the efforts of Bonner, Truby and most of the BOE,plese leaders get involved and start looking at funding and how it is spent, decisions that are made on and off the field and above all expect our student athletes to behave as young men and women

Anonymous said...

"Football teaches our young men character, respect and discipline."

Wrong. Parents should teach kids these things. This is exactly what is wrong kids today. Parents expect somebody else to do their job.

Anonymous said...

YOU MUST BE THE MOM OF THE SISSY PLAYER WITH THE UMBRELLA!

Anonymous said...

"Football teaches our young men character, respect and discipline"

Yes, football does teach these things. However I agree that parents should be teaching these things also, and that football should just be reinforcing what is being done at home. Is it being taught at home? Usually you can tell the difference in those who have been brought up the right way and those who have excuses made for them consistently. Either way, if a coach has poor discipline with the players then it becomes a sinking ship. That's what we have right now: a sinking ship. Not just because of wins and losses, but due to a horrible lack of discipline.

Anonymous said...

Athletics (not just football), in ADDITION to good parenting, trys to instill character in our young men & women by teaching them discipline and respect through hard work, wins, losses and dedication & committment to their team, come the good or the bad.

Is that better, Anon 1:31

Thank goodness for those that volunteer (or get paid) to lead our youth in athletics. It's a thankless job, win or lose. There's never enough wins and there's always too many losses. Whatever the case, I thank all of you coaches & leaders.

If we all work together to keep our kids off the street and out from in front of the TV, I believe that we can make a small or even a big change in our youth. Every little bit counts.

So coaches, school & community leaders keep your heads held high. Let's stay committed, dedicated and strong for our boys that take on that challenge every Friday night. They need our support, not all this criticism.

Work hard boys, coaches let's get some backbone, get tough on the guys (they can handle it) and show the critics you can turn this season around.

Anonymous said...

There's no turning this season around. 1-9 is a serious possibility. The program can be turned around eventually through consistent discipline, but that won't happen until there is a change at the top.

Anonymous said...

Ok, so it can't be turned around but we can do better. Surely, you knew I meant that. I will clarify myself better in the future.

1:13 is a joke post right? Were supposed to have "pride" in our football team? Let's put it on the other foot. Why should we care? I dont want to go to a football game to watch crap. I go because I like to see the kids giving 100%. Thats all were asking, wins and loses happen. But lack of effort and discipline? Let's face it, were going to be scheduled for everyones homecoming games!!

Anonymous said...

Lamar Football is the biggest joke ever!! Tell me why I should pay money to watch this? And dont give me that "Support the kids crap!" Trust me, life isnt that way, you work hard you get rewarded.

Anonymous said...

You shouldn't spend your money on it. Don't show up and tell everyone you know to do the same, and when there's no money coming in they will make a change.

Anonymous said...

4:31 that is the best advice I've heard so far. If you don't like whats going on, don't go. Stay at home by the computer and wait for scoop to post the scores. Then moan and groan just like usual. And if the happen to win this Friday against Macon County, then be sure to say its a fluke and they wont win anymore. That way what little self-esteem the team does get, will be wiped away. Or what you could do is go ahead and go to the game. Sit in the benches remembering what it was like when you was playing football, then remember how your life turned out to be nothing and now you want to live through the High Schoolers. Then when you get home just follow the before mentioned instructions.

So let's not get too fast and loose with your football coaching advice. And I can assure everyone that "Coach" Martin is also not getting paid $80k to teach history. Coach Scan may know football. He was an All-Star player at MP and his picture still hangs at the school. No question he knows football! If the players don't have heart then there is really nothing you can do. The only question I have is why was a player hurt in the first quarter and left on the sideline untill the third when the CHEERLEADING coach took him and got him medical help and took the ride with him to the hosital. Please note the CHEERLEADING coach not one of the FOOTBALL coaches. The young man did break his leg. It does not matter how much you know about the game or how many games you win if you don't care enough about your players to get them the medical help they need. Guess it was a good thing that it was only his leg and not his spine or something worse.

"Football teaches our young men character, respect and discipline"

Sure, just look at Vick, Pac-man, most of the Bengals, Carruth...the list goes on.

Anonymous said...

For the record, the injured player left the stadium in the 1st half, but he was taken out by the cheerleading coach and a parent. I guess when you're a little short handed on the sideline, that's what happens. I guess in retrospect, there are ome "hanger on" coaches standing around doing nothing, sucking up a supplement who could help.

I didn't watch football last night. In fact I didn't even think of football last night. The sun came up this morning. It just doesn't matter. There are as many bad characters in sports as there are good. Sports doesn't build character. Circumstances and reaction to those circumstances build character. Respect and discipline? Please. Most football players can't spell those words much less understand the meaning. Sure there are a few gung ho players who actually make the rest look better than they are. All in all they are just people driven by circumstances. Football doesn't matter. Read these blogs. What kind of character do most of these people have. They curse the coach and the players. Great character. Total respect. When football means more to you than being civil and encouraging to others, then it has gone too far. There is very little discipline, respect or character demonstrated here.

Anonymous said...

Sports do try to teach character. Does it always take? No. But that is one of the reasons to play sports. To learn how to win and lose with grace. If you've ever seen Scan on the sidelines as he rants against referees and stomps and pouts and sits down in the middle of the field and refuses to budge.......well you see what I'm getting at.

Just so everyone is clear on this the girl who did what was inappropriate was not a cheerleader she was on the softball team

The girl was a high school softball player riding a bus to an away game. No, she did not take a dump inside the helmet, she did it in the back of the bus.
Her punishment did not fit her actions.

Anonymous said...

she didnt take a dump it was on a shoe and she STUPIDLY wiped inside a batting helmet. she did not target anyone as she picked the helmet randomly. yes it was totally wrong to do but she was suspended for three games and can not ride the bus with the team anymore. i think that is punishment enough besides the public ridicule she is receiving here.

Anonymous said...

excuse me, she purposely pooped in a cup, had another team member hold a helmet that all team members have access to and wiped a good portion in the helmet, a fine
young lady got it on her, thus the suspension, she should be glad
her parents did not press charges . No the punishment did not fit the crime, I hope she learned a life lesson from this. We'll see..public ridicule? Don't put yourself in that position! She embarressed the team, caused a division in the team, enough said on this subject..no more comments from me.

Pooped here, pooped there.....this all just in a sick way sums up what the Trojans look like when they take the field. "The Lamar County Troshitjans"...replace the LC on the helmets with a couple of logs, cheerleaders could throw into the stands that fake dog do instead of footballs....I think we got something here.

LOL I love this Blog

I dont care how good the girl is at softball, obviously she is a piece of shit! How anyone could do something like this is unreal. The school needs to stand up and do something about this. I hope the other parents press charges. I would if it were my child. How nasty!

Anonymous said...

She needs to be suspended from school....but I guess if that happens she will be kicked off the team....wouldnt want that to happen.

Anonymous said...

spitting on someone can be a crime....so should shitting on someone!

Anonymous said...

I hope her parents are real proud...what a nice young lady.

Really fills you in on the home training.

I have to say I have been disappointed with the Athletic Program over the past 2 years. I have a student who participates in the Marching Band and another sport. The things that go on on the sidelines is very embarrassing, but I decided that I had to ignore that and support the young men who were on the field trying and not give attention to the fools on the sidelines. I was very sad to see the raises in supplements that were given to coaches in Lamar County. I hope that Dr. Truby was trying to raise the standard and given them the opportunity to earn their money or be sent on their merry way. From what I have seen, we do not have the discipline I believe should be there. But...I am from the old school where everything we did was a lesson in discipline and respect. I hope we see some great changes this Friday night and I will be out there supporting the team, cheerleaders and band (as usual). And.... yes Macon County is beatable (everyone is)!!

4:15 pm Same point I was going to make!

WHO CARES ABOUT HOW SHE PLAYS SPORTS, I COULD CARE LESS IF SHE IS THE NEXT GOLD MEDALIST...

3:40 pm Pitiful that you would put a game/team/sport above how someone was treating people...it does not make a difference if it was not directed at someone or not...IT IS JUST PLAIN WRONG.

I would expect at LEAST suspension.

Anonymous said...

3:40...you are a Dumb Ass! Who cares if she is a good athlete. Does that really matter? I dont think so.
I just cant get over on the fact that a girl did this. It would be horrible if a guy did it...but a girl????? I think I would be changing schools!

Hello! This is Diana Murner! I am currently in Jacksonville NC serving in the Marine Corps. If any of you know who I am you will know that I have delt with many aspect of the county from being a student, to being a sub, to just being a supporter of our country and tring to represent where I came from! Now lets face all the facts here! The bottom line of alot of things is the fact that these children have been raised in many diffacult situations but it is left up to the parents to still be more conserned about raising their children to have more self respect for them selves than to have their pants hanging down to thier knees and talking with no respect and that is to include to there elders, thier own parents, their teachers, and every other human being around as well as simple respectful manners! The parents as well as the children are old enough to take responsabilty and fix it! Things are only going to get better if you stop fussing about it and get out there and help fix it! Yes the kids act rude and yall think its funny from the time they are in primary school so fix it! The children know how to act by the time they hit high school and they need to grow up! All the parents are fussing as well as people in the community but all of you think - what have YOU done to HELP FIX IT? I don't mean go fuss at the board or sit on here behind the screan and fuss I mean go see what you can do to help the situation with RESPECT! NO INSULTS ARE NOT GOING TO FIX ANYTHING! Talk to the coaches and see if they need extra bodies at prctice to help! Talk to the coaches and see if you can help with some of the crowd control-acting like adults and not someone with no respect or self control! Talk to your children about having respect for others as well as themselves and how to act and where their waist line belongs! Talk not Fuss!!! THIS IS NOT GOING TO FIX ANYTHING THIS WAY! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HELP WITH THE SCHOOL SYSTEM AND NOT JUST MAKING REASONS FOR THE BEHAVIOR OF CHILDREN! THIS IS WHERE OUR CHILDREN TODAY GET THIER MINDSETS ABOUT THINGS! LETS SIT BACK AND FUSS AND DO NOTHING TO HELP FIX THE PROBLEM! IT STARTS FROM THE BEGING AND GOES ON! SO NOW AS YOU SIT THERE AND READ THIS THINK WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO HELP THE CHILDREN AND HOW THEY REPRESENT LCCHS OUT SIDE OF LAMAR COUNTY INSTEAD OF JUST PUTTING DOWN EVERYONE ELSE! Yes somethings may need to be changed but you can't fuss until you have tried to help the situation! THIS IS WITH EVERY ASPECT OF YOUR COUNTY!

on the shit subject. yes what the girl was gross. but if any of you guys have children then you know kids are going to do things. no matter how you raise them. they are really going to do things when they are around a bunch of people. im sure this wasn't just her idea. i mean come on think about it. from what i heard he punishment seems to be enough to me. but really if its not your child why are ya'll so worried. if it was my child i sure wouldn't want ya'll worried about it. im sure half of ya'll have children out doing worse things than that.

Diana Your village called. Their Idiot is missing.

Anonymous said...

Why don't all of you grow some and say who you are instead of acting like children insead of adults and say who you are! Your right my village is calling because I must have been raised in another village because I was raised better than the way some talk. Yah somethings stink in peoples lives but you adapted and over comes and become productive citizens instead of winning little babys who want to fuss, can't say who they are, and don't want to do anything to fix anything! From my village you help fix the problem! Put positive to the matter! Atleast we know where our children get things from! Mirrors Out!

I know, I know, Jar Heads are known for their brawn not brains Why don't you go take a 10 mile hike or something.

even without a major player the seniors (mary lonberg, brittany byrd, and samiyah watts) held the team together today to get a major win. Great job ladies. Good luck

Anonymous said...

Sorry, but it is not mine or anyone else’s place to raise other people’s children. Eventually parents have to take responsibility. The famous liberal “It takes a village” mentality and you don’t know their back ground is so old too.

If you think kids have if ruff today, then you need to know there are still a lot of people walking around today that are from the depression era…if you want to hear about difficult back grounds, etc. sit down with one of them. If you can’t find any, I have two parents that would be happy to talk with you.

Funny thing is the current generation that we are talking about now is the same one that comes from the dumbed down school system where they can’t discipline children because they might hurt their feelings. I think if parents are not taking a proactive approach in their children’s life then they are getting what they deserve…dumb kids.

Hey, don't forget about Taylor Mason. She is also a senior and one heck of a good pitcher. AND, I hear we won 9 - 1, even without the very talented pooper. But let me say this...whether we win or loose, the important thing is that our girls support each other and play like a team. Just remember, one bad apple spoils the whole bunch.

Anonymous said...

9:48 You need to go the same grammar class Diana is going to. Maybe then you can bond. At least she is doing something to try to make things better instead of just whining!

Anonymous said...

8:56,
Kids will be kids. Dont you think this crossed the line? Its a little more than gross. Kids trying to put boogers on each other is gross.

Anonymous said...

i would have to agree taylor mason did a great jov on the mound. from the stands yesterday i noticed that the team as put this behind them they played like a team and got along as a team. now that they have done this i think everyone on here should do the same thing.

WHAT ABOUT LT. G.S. GETTING SUSPENDED AND KNOCKED DOWN TO A SGT????

Anonymous said...

why?

Anonymous said...

I though he was an upstanding guy?

Anonymous said...

POOP!!

Anonymous said...

Just goes to show you don't know him, believe me you don't know him like some of us do. He is sneaky little devil.
Ask him about green wood st.

Anonymous said...

How can a Lt. date a dispatcher???

Anonymous said...

How can a boy be raised by animals? It happened in the Jungle book.

Anonymous said...

the dispatchers are quite popular and have been for some time. thats where jb should have started cleaning house.

Anonymous said...

We were having fun talking about crapping in helments and sticking umbrellas up Mary Poppins ass and Macon Co. crapping in our helments. So could ya'll please move the sherriff crap to another blog.
Thank you for your support!!!

Anonymous said...

are yall talking about the same two people that were riding around in the golf cart all weekend buggydays? JB was with them then so I know that cant be the reason why he was suspended. If that was the problem JB should have done something then....right?....so whats the scoop?

Anonymous said...

I agree about some of the dispatchers, but hey, atleast they keep the gossip going.

Anonymous said...

come on people. the city, county and state appreciate the dedication.

Anonymous said...

another blog bites the dust

Anonymous said...

the football team would like to thank the softball team, someone nammed Johnny, and the SO for taking the heat off of us. keep up the good work.

Anonymous said...

Damn 7:06!

Anonymous said...

Guess what.....Lamar County Lady Trojans did it again. They beat Macon County 11-0!!!! Maybe all the football fans who are boycotting the football games should come see the real athletes of the school. Mary Lonberg hit a GRAND SLAM over the left/center field fence. It's great to see our girls winning and enjoying themselves. Their next home game is Thursday, October 4th against Crawford County. JV plays at 4:30 and the Varsity game follows. Maybe our girls can do what the boys couldn't. Keep up the good work. Y'all are a great bunch of girls!!

Anonymous said...

The power of poop is it on you???

Anonymous said...

I say enough about poop. The softball team has forgiven and forgotten and hopefully lessons are learned. Now come see the team win their last two games!!!
Maybe Mary Lonberg can entertain the crowd with a few more grand slams!!! GO LADY TROJANS!!!

Anonymous said...

4:07,
why would a dispatcher date a Lt? It is not like he is roalty or something and cant date the lower class.

Anonymous said...

Why don't people mind their own business. It's like ya'll miss the high school drama so you come on here to gossip. GROW UP!

Anonymous said...

I wonder how the Trojans will do against Macon Co. tonight, should be pretty interesting.

Anonymous said...

It wont be interesting at all. Macon County is going to poop on the Trojans.

Anonymous said...

Mary Poppins here! Just letting everyone know- I'll be removing the umbrella from my butt today before the game. I need to return it to the rightful owner- the riff-raff on the sidelines.

Anonymous said...

dont you mean Mary Poopins?

Anonymous said...

9:09...these people are grown and dont seen to care whose life they interfere with. They are home wreckers. If they dont wont their feelings hurt then they should stop screwing around with married people. It is all true and then some. Not gossip. They should feel quite lucky names are being throwed around freely.

Anonymous said...

Ahh...come on now. You people have a lot of comments. Which one of you are going to take action, volunteer you time, ask if you can be of any assistance, speak to you r kid and encourage him. Be Proactive. I agree this team needs more discipline, but I also know that if your child gets his feelings hurt while the coach is trying to lay down the law. You'll be running down to the school tripping. I don't think color has anything to do with the problem. Maybe the school is doing the best with what they have. Lets be a community of togetherness offer your help along with your opinion. PEACE :)

Anonymous said...

not me. i have a full time job. dont have time to do someone elses.

Anonymous said...

Nope, I want coach to raise my kids

Anonymous said...

he cant even coach....how would anyone expect him to raise a child.

Anonymous said...

the lamar co trojans are just sorry they are going to be 1-9 this year its been five years since lamar co trojans have made the playoffs they need a new coach them boys play like middle school kids out there they cant tackle they cant block they cant even kick a field goal they suck

Anonymous said...

If you think the high school is a joke you should come out to the rec department and watch the refs they got trying to run the games there. We have had a total of 3 games in Lamar county and the head little man on the field has like started fighting twice. This is awful. Who is over the rec. They need to stop making such stupied calls and let the kids play ball!!!! WE NEED NEW REC PERSONEL. The only decent person out ther is MR.HENERY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

The whole county is a joke. I mean how many years are we going to go with a losing football team? Get him out of there. I say everyone boycott football games and start watching the Softball team. The last report I recieved they beat southwest macon 13-3 and marion county last night 11-8 in the 9th inning with the second basemen breaking her leg. Atleast we have one team with a good coach. Go Luck girls!

cheerleader mom said...

What about the cheerleaders?? They do a great job and hardly get any credit for the hard work they do every week!! Despite the head coach they have!!
