I suppose the problems are just starting with the ag authority and the "land swwap deal" which is allegedly a "done deal." Unfortunately, had the county commissioners just dissolved the authority when it was apparent that the authority no longer wanted the responsibility of running the operation, then this would not be happening. What about the reports for 2006? Is another notice coming for that documentation?
Are a certain group of concerned citizens filing suit about all the land transactions or just the ones involving ag authority property? The swap between the school and county has nothing to do with ag authority land does it.
Not to get off the subject,Joe Buice and the boys are having a county wide license check, which is good (I would have had it this Saturday though) but i heard over the scanner that they are not answering the city officers. The dispatchers will not give license information back to them until the "concentration patrol" is over. Dont that put them in danger. Isn't the 911 computers and license information meant for all the city, county and milner officers. Isn't there an agreement. Dont the citizens in Barnesville also pay county taxes and elect the sheriff? Just wondering! I wonder how buice would feel if the shoe was on the other foot and the city wouldnt help his deputies.

The only reason the license check went good last night is because they never work the road. So of course when you do a big operation like that it will be a success.When Waller was in people knew better to mess around in this county.

Then everything has to be turned over to the county. It will be up to the commissioners now how the stuff is divided. A unnamed city member provided the insight. She also said that there might be fines with interest and penalities against the authority or the county by the state and that grants might have to be repaid by the county back to the DCA. Property might have to be sold to pay back the DCA and the county will not be eligible for future grants for 5 years. Somebody has made a big mess
the county does not think they are God's gift to anything. the bottom line is, they have the equipment to get the info and choose to make their employees top priority when disseminating said info. if the city or milner had that equipment you could bet they would look after their folks first. and the comment about "not working the roads" is atypical from most police who only know how to work traffic. those couldn't solve a real crime if it happened right in front of them.

of course you would because you are. why would joe citizen be on here arguing this? the fact of the matter is, the city, not just the PD, wants things their way. it's killing them that 911 is housed in the sheriff's office. they would like for it to be housed seperately so they could have more of a say so in how its run. the thing they refuse to realize is that, even if 911 moved, the sheriff's office would still house the computer that gives tag and license information so the SO personell would still be top priority as far as that goes. the bottom line here is that we are outgrowing what used to work and its only gonna get worse. the city should consider getting their own dispatcher who has access to this information for their officers and stop leeching off the county.

What in the world does the LCSD vs BPD have to do with the State citing the Ag Authority?
One other important note is the date on the citation. This was dated back to 2005. Prior to the current administrations reign.
It is typical that a traffic cop generally has to work patrol 2-5yrs before getting into traffic enforcement. Come on you can do better then that.
