heck yes, its already happening. our own government is after us already! we have a government that we fear not a government who fears the people.

If our founding fathers were alive today, I imagine that they would be leading the fight to establish a new government "for the people, by the people".

The government has become much to central to all of our lives and the 2 party system prevents any meaningful changes to ever happen. Both Congress and the Presidency over the last 40 years are just as arrogant and care about the people as little as the British government cared about the colonists just prior to the revolution.

Revolution is not necessarily a bad thing. As Thomas Jefferson once said "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants"

Maybe it's time to water that tree.

ill bring the hose if i can find a dang nozzle that works.

but really, i think that we are under constant threat from revolution most of the time. we have become a boiling pot of different nationalities. there is so much tension everywhere that it would porbably take only one good event to kick off a major revolt. im not saying the overthrow of our government but the racial clashes that are boilng between the two biggest minorities. it didnt take long for the mexicans to surpass the blacks as the largest minority and they are still growing more everyday. we had better get samart and get a government that can control this before the kettle blows up!

I think only one of you knows what a revolution is.

Just so the previous bloggers will understand.

revolution - the overthrow of a government by those who are governed.

A revolution can also be defined as changing the culture of your society, and as soon as the middle class workers realize how much pull they can have when they decide to stand together, then we will see a revolution without even overthrowing a Government. We need to clean up our Government and keep its principles, but throw out such b/s as lobbyists- which are the main reason "we the people" can't get a word in. The collapse of a capitalist country has to be when the Government starts listening ONLY to money and not to its people, we are very close to that now. I'm not saying they don't need to worry about our finances, but its sad when you hear reporters say that SO & SO would make a good Prez. because he is a great business man and would run the Government like a business.

I have never thought of it like that, but you are right. Why should we want a great business man in office over someone who has the people in mind.

Anonymous said...

Both of you are assuming great business men don't have the people in mind. Nevermind the fact that they have built and run businesses that have empowered thousands of people and offered jobs to thousands more, through which their employees could responsibly provide for their own families. This is how a capitalist society is supposed to work.

Juan you are right, I was a little too vague in my post, If the Prez. has the mindset that he and his government are not the largest shareholders in this business and he should not be the main one to profit then it will run fine, but the problems would be when it became the opposite. I love this capitalist country we have, even though it tends to give a good kick in the teeth some times, but no society is perfect at not hurting feelings.

Off shoring Business for example. I know that this has produced more jobs than it has let go (usually they are better paying too), but when you see the factories in your town closed you have to stop and think "Is this worth the extra saved dollars", and the honest truth is yes- hard pill to swallow.

We benefit from free trade, but we have a trade deficit. We trade a hell of a lot more money to them than they trade to us, just how long can you send out your money with little or no return. I'm not saying that we don't receive a service or product from this money, I'm just saying that it is terribly unbalanced. But what can you expect from a poorer country and its very good for us to up the standards of these places- I need a lot more education in this field because it is very confusing- so let me have it.

We are represented by politicians that love and respect the people until they take their seat in office, then the lobbyist come in and make their brains and hearts go to mush with the all mighty dollar. MAN MADE THE MONEY, MONEY NEVER MADE THE MAN! This capitalist country keeps that in mind and we can roll with the punches.

The media has the American people infuriated with oil companies, but considering that these oil companies have a very valuable resource to sell and they only get about 10% profit, they are cutting us slack. We should really be spitting fire at the Gov. for taxing the hell out of it, but that wouldn't be a great ratings day at the media office, so if you don't look for the light yourself you will probably follow the rest in the dark.

Gov. run Public Schools are Communist and absolutely -Do -Not Work!

I also believe that the Fairtax would give the people the ego boost we need to let us know that we can make a difference and to get this "revolution" started we, the middle class especially, might have to sit on our hands for a day or two, and when we take our day or two we shouldn't spend a single dollar and any business that is open take note of it, write the paper about it, and do not buy from it and most of all let them see its for the Fairtax Plan. We create the pocketbook of the United States of America, NOT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. I'm not even sure if I stuck to any topic at all?

REVOLUTION- Middle Class Workers Union!
Rev.MJB
PS- The Prez. doesn't run the country, WE DO!
PSS- Drafting midgets would just make us come up short during war.(For the other post on The Draft)

Very well said. I would like to add to your oil company argument that the misconception of "greedy" oil companies is absurd. These "greedy" oil companies have invested billions and worked for decades to earn their $0.10 on the dollar, whereas our government sits on their butts, does no work, and demands more and more money. They are making sacrifices out of an industry on which the base of our economy rest. Which party is showing the most greed?

Though it sounds like you have things pretty well in line, I have to take note with your middle class workers union revolution though. It just sounds a little too soclialist for me. When classes of people start to unite and rise up, reason gives way to mob mentality and then there will just be another class of supressed people. I believe I can better my life and prosper on my own without the help of the rest of the middle class. If they want to stay middle class for the rest of their lives, that is their peril. We need every person in this nation to act in his or her own best interest, which in our society is measured by money and the fruits of one's labor. Selfishness is what made us great. The "common good" mentality is destroying us.

for the people ,only for the people sounds like comunisum to me,group mentality is a very dangerious thing

Anonymous said...

Exactly. That's why democracy is a very dangerous thing. Too bad our government schools have produced an entire generation of people who think our nation functions as a democracy instead of a constitutional republic based on the rule of law.

If two wolves and one lamb have a democratic vote on what's for dinner, somebody's in trouble. (Borrowed from Neal Boortz)

Just think how ineffective our government would be if we did live in a democracy!

Middle Class Workers Union
Not socialist, not Communist, just the rebirth of common sense and American Capitalism.
Middle Class- both main political parties refer to us in classes, this class having the highest population and the easiest to identify with (being rich turns people away because of the misconception that they never work and were handed everything on a silver platter).
Workers- If you've never worked chances are you can't figure out why your "Poor"- and this is the worst and most contagious state of mind an individual in the USA can have and it will be part of our downfall.
Union- not exactly the way you would think.
No union boss- the one you have now is enough, and if you are your own boss then the last thing you deserve is someone else trying to be just that- No union dues- we've
been paying more than our share for a long time without even a simple thank you, but IT IS a collection of INDIVIDUALS that share the goal of taking back the reins of Government, remember, no body knocked us off our high horse, we just simply got down!
WAKE UP- we eventually will have to unite to protect our individuality because socialism IS at our door and they ARE united.
Rev.MJB- just an idea to kick around.

i think every "other" race should be placed in their own area, like the american indians were, so they could live together and make their own gov't and leave ours alone.
