Anonymous said...

ANON 7:34...you need to learn how to write a sentence before you worry about a law suit........You must be working on your 2nd six pack.

If yall want a bikini contest go to the crows nest....the county does not have ordinances against that. For the same reason, the strip club is in Spalding Co, not in the city of Griffin.

Now, I thought this was a family resturant? I dont think I will take my children back there!

Last but not least, there must be some really hard up guys in this town.

Anonymous said...

What does a gas station have to do with a bikini contest?

Anonymous said...

what kinda person takes their kid to a bar and grill anyway not a true baptist anyway

Anonymous said...

I will not be going back

Anonymous said...

We have someone who is investing millions of dollars and you people are worried about bikini contest

Anonymous said...

im taking my wife tonight 4 karaoke

Anonymous said...

This is like the movie Footloose.....There will be half naked women allowed in this town!

Anonymous said...

Does this guy allow kids in his resturant?

Anonymous said...

Oh boy!!!! Your wife is one lucky woman. I am jealous.

Anonymous said...

the mayor has played there thats a great place live music we are making history moving on up

Anonymous said...

hope you start a business here you'll see what happen in barnesville no support for anything

Anonymous said...

Please use commas, periods or something

Anonymous said...

i hit a nerve

Anonymous said...

How many people in Barnesville do you actually think will support something like that?

I am laughing as I am typing.

If some of the community had found out about it before hand, I can bet u there would have been protesters in front of the place.

Anonymous said...

Was the Mayor in a bikini?

Anonymous said...

WE HAVE A CHOICE.I NEED TO SEE THIS PLACE.AND MEET THE OWNER.

Anonymous said...

I had a great steak there!

Anonymous said...

I think people here are ignorant and they should think about the future. What will happen in 10 years when the buildings are no longer new, the tax breaks end, and the chinese leave several hundred families without jobs. We will be back to Aldora's closing days. As I recall the taxes on my land and my business both went up. I really love how we give incentives to foreigners who don't give a **** about anything but filling their pockets. What else would be their incentive? A quick fix now can be devastating in the future. Great job IDA! I would like to know what this companies track record is. At least the county will make money during this IDA's reign, and they will come out smelling like a rose. It won't be until they are dead and gone that we understand the consequences of their ignorant decisions. Perhaps a Devil's advocate is necessary in ALL areas of life.

Anonymous said...

Yall are dumb asses! 100 million dollars should say something.

Anonymous said...

I think if you want dancing, liquor, and bikini contest, then it should be considered as and adult establishment...not as a family resturant. I would have no problem with that. Is it closed down at a certain time for families and becomes adult only after 10pm? Just curious?

Anonymous said...

thats what they do no kids after 10

Anonymous said...

How bout wet T-Shirt contest? Stripers? women dancing around in bikinis? Whats next? How much was the prize money? What I really want to know is who signed up to be in the contest.....that would probably be a good laugh.

Anonymous said...

So after 10 it becomes an adult establishment....thats cool.

Hope the concil is looking into closing all the loopholes so that we dont end up with a strip club like Griffin.

Anonymous said...

it sure is funny that griffin has everyone scared.all the lie brary is for fun and a place to hang out i know the owners and they dont want that. they want people to stay in town and keep there money in barnesville not every other city

Anonymous said...

i am a student @ gordan college and i think its a great place.i should have went to athens!!!!!

Anonymous said...

i dont think anyone is saying it is a bad place. Since it is such a great place, why do they need the bikini contest? Dancing and kareoki sound great to me.

Anonymous said...

If it was me, i would go to the city counncil and see if there is a city ordinance for this. Im sure there is, and i bet you just have to have a permit for this type of entertainment! It aint that hard people. (and by the way i have been to bikini contest and there is a difference between the local pool and a bikini contest) If you want this to happen, be SMART and not IGNORANT>

Anonymous said...

100 million dollars should say something? Its nothing to a big business. I know you cant comprehend since you make 20k a year. What will happen when the community and the workers get used to the new jobs? Being ignorant they will buy new houses, cars and other items that will put them in debt. The community will do good until the tax breaks expire and the business moves. Then where will the people with outstanding loans work? You think of now and don't look to the future. They throw large sums of money out, and you bite like a damn fool. They will make billions off of your stupidity. Then we will be left with another empty building and families who can't pay their bills. They will offer mill/assembly line jobs for the uneducated. You should question their motive. Why barnesville? What can they get from us? Why are we so perfoect for them? You better believe they aren't thinking about the jobs they will bring. If you think the business gives a damn about aything but filling their pockets, you are a damn fool.

Anonymous said...

How can you predict the future? Why would they dump that much money into somthing and then bail?

As for me not comprehending, my 1st quarter "bonus" was more than the 20k you assusme that I make in a year. I am not the uneducated fool.

This place isnt going to effect me one way or the other, but it will bring jobs to those who need it. Dont be so negative. Barnesville needs this.

Anonymous said...

ANON 9:08..... By the way, you could say that about any job. What do people do when they get laid off or fired. They find another job. I dont know about you but a lot of people prepare for things like that, you know, put money aside, etc. So basically everything you said is your prediction for the future. Give me an educated reason as to why you think this company is a bad idea.

Anonymous said...

What kind of entertainment does the lie brary plan to provide for women?

Anonymous said...

where the heck is the lie brary?

Anonymous said...

The old movie store

Anonymous said...

On college Dr.

908 is probably just angry because he is a convicted felon and cant get a job anywhere. lighten up 908, someone will give you a handout.

the lie-brary, located on college drive in the old grand illusion video store, has good food and a nice atmosphere. i have not been there for any of their extracurricular activites but, with the college soon to become four year and big chinese industry coming to town, look for more and more of this type of business coming here. if you dont like it, best move to roberta or something.
