hints of defense strategy emerge...

steve estes of georgia truck and rv at the hwy. 36 interchange on I-75 testified he bought a stolen tractor from a man he called rudy the bbq man but was actually jerry vaughn, brother of randolph vaughn. several references have been made to there being two rudy vaughns

jerry vaughn sold bbq at the bp station at the interchange, estes said. he also testified he was offered the $4000 john deere tractor after he bought a brand new komatsu forklift for $1500.

"the forklift was questionable but with the tractor i knew something was not right," estes said. estes admitted he was scared of being arrested at the time and remains fearful of that development.

law enforcement officers from lamar, pike, spalding and columbia counties are testifying this afternoon with regard to motions to suppress evidence against vaughn and dorsett.

thus far there has been no testimony involving peggy dorsett by law enforcement.

Everytime I bought BBQ at that place the man said his name was Rudy. My husband is a truck driver and we stopped in there all the time. He even called himself that over the CB radio advertising for himself.

The man that you are referring to is Jerry Vaughn, the brother of Randolph Vaughn.
