the lamar county trojans advanced to the semifinals of the region 5AA tournament by defeating marion county 40-32 in macon last night. lamar takes on top seeded manchester in manchester tonight at 8:30 p.m.
the lady eagles of marion county stopped the lady trojans 52-45 yesterday in macon to end lamar's season.
a win tonight would propel the trojans to the region finals saturday in manchester where they would play the crawford county-rutland winner. lamar's state tournament site and opponent will be determined over the weekend.
