I believe his timing was bad. However I am cynical about many of the muslims in this country. They claim to be loyal, but they preach the jihad against infidels, and then claim they didnt.
Ellis is the man who would be King. He has done such a diservice to Macon. Most of the money has been steadily moving out of the city into north Macon and Warner Robins because of his ruthless tactics.
The man fathered a child out of wedlock and then refused to pay child support. He has made many trips abroad at taxpayers expense. Supposedly for business, but none has come from it yet. What kind of business is Senegal going to move to middle Georgia?
The guy's a jerk no matter what religion he professes. It's just that now he has joined a religion that actually encourages members to kill non members. He is always quick to play the race card in tough situations. The king is dead!! Long live the King!!!
The mayor of Macon has been a Christian all his life, according to his own account. A person can not convert from Christianity to Islam unless he completely and entirely denounces Jesus Christ as Son of God, Lord and Saviour. At this stage of his life, this seem very unstable.
Just another act in the 3 ring circus that is Macon City Government. It's why I read the Macon telegraph rather than the Constitution...much more entertaining.

He sure used the chridtain card to get elected. huge amounts of fundraising came from christain black churches that refused to beleive he was a self serving moron even after all his shananigans. Maybe those good church folk wont be so quick to vote strictly on race from now on...........nah idoubt it!
Wonder what his Jhaid will be? I hope Macon can get a Mayor who will not be so controversal and more interested in the growth of the city, instead of running people out of the city.
If Mr. Ellis was a born again Christian, and has now renounced his christian faith and converted to muslim, then he has turned his back on Jesus and rejected him. The is the unpardonable sin. The Bible says "It would be better for him if he had never been born."

I think the people of Macon should give the Mayor a Rubber Room to live in on his retirement. That was he is not likely to hurt himself.
