I understand someone speaking for the three men that were fined lied to the board. That person said the charges were brought by the person they represented.

Is that true?

no, that is not true. the attorney general's office got it wrong as usual the three that got fined was working for the Burnette clan. the attorney general did nothing in this case they just let time heal the wounds.

So the Burnette clan got away with it because the state took so long to act??

It seems what really happened is not that the "Former registrars cleared by SEB" as the headline states. The didn't punish them because they were disbanded and replaced. Saying they were "cleared" is misleading.

The second thing that happened was Assistant Attorney General Calandra Almond screwed up. When the board asked her who filed the complaint, she gave the wrong answer. She said:

“Well, just from talking to the Respondents (Fletcher, Harris, and Barrett), it was the person that they assisted....the candidate that they were working for that filed the complaint.”

Either Fletcher, Harris, or Barrett lied or the Assistant A G is unable to hear or speak English.

Anyway, that's what really happened.

Just another example of why the State Elections Board is a joke. Absetee ballots have been used and abused in Lamar County and Barnesville for years. The Heritage in vote has elected more people than Richard Daily. Nobody does anything because nobody wants to make waves.

As usual African Americas are used for the scape goat for a crime committed by a white person. I am sure if these three men are guilty,
there are others out there. However, why keep looking, you just
might find someone that should not be found. Will things ever change?

I am white and I have to agree that three black men are being unjustly punished for the crimes of a white woman. Why? It's an Uncle Tom political tactic by the AG's office to assure him of the white vote.

If African Americas are being used for the scape goat for a crime committed by a white person, then they need to stop being African.
