The people on the Ag Authority stole the assets from the county and gave them to the city, and the city pushed the sissies on our commission into swaping around and giving away all kinds of county assets so the school could build a stadium.
The new stadium should be named to honor those who we able to divert county taxpayer money intended for an Ag Authority and county property to the school system.
Trojan Stadium is a good name for multiple reasons when we think of how the whole deal took place.
If the stadium is going to be named after a person, whomever that may be, it should be in a location not associated with the school and we can share it with other teams. However, if it is Trojan Stadium--that is OUR field--it is the SCHOOLS field.It is what represents the football team and Lamar County! And for whoever made the comment about it being named after condoms.....please use your time more wisely. After all, the park and duck pond idea was a bit of a stretch with the possibility of some drunken college student drowning in said pond and their family suing the city.

What does being able to make enough money to send your children to Saint George's or MA have to do with this. Some of us choose not to send our kids to private. If you are involved with the school and make sure that your child does his work and stay on task, then they will do well. And anyways, most private schools don't have alot athletic programs. I think you are right about health care. The only people we give free health care to are them that dont work and the illegal mexicans. Any black or white that works in a $10-25 dollar hour job don't get crap for health care. I'm self employed and I pay $1200 month for freaking health care. I still wait weeks to get in to see a doctor in my HMO, while friends of mine in other countries can just walk right in. Hell a Mexican can walk into the emergency room but it woiuld cost me $1000 to do the same.

What on earth is wrong with our justice system when a person who almost kills people with a DUI is out driving around and now stalking.
