My wife's employer did this at the first of this year and we love it. She has Friday to stay home and do family business and attend school functions. The employees will love it and work hard to keep this new schedule.

My employer is doing this for the summer to give us more time with family while school is out. We started Memorial weekend until after labor day. So far we think it is great. More is being accomplished in one day than before. The talk now is to do it again from thanksgiving until after new years.

This was done by many businesses during the 70's and worked well. When Gordon College was on quarters, summer school classes met for longer times four days a week. The students loved it and it saved on gas and utilities.

The outside employees will take some time to readjust to the new sleeping and eating schedule, but it could be done.

adjust to new schedule. sounds like instead of getting off @ 3:30 they will get off @ 5:30. what adjustment is that going to take. hell i work 12 or 13 hour days all week. i think i will apply with the county.

As a retired professor, I loved the summer quarters when we would go longer for 4 days. Never understood why we could not do it year round.

I went to work today and told my employer what our county is doing with 4/10 days and he thought we should try it. Starting Monday, we are going Mon- Thur off Fri.
GREAT IDEA My kids are excited I will be home on Fridays. AT LEAST FOR NOW. They may get tired of daddy being home Fridays when I give them their to-do-list!

But really great idea county!

The matter ain't under consideration. It's done! I heard the Chairman myself. How would you like to get squished between Jay & Grier. Have ya'll noticed the girths on them big boys in the photos? Time to stop going back for seconds and thirds boys.

Go to th dispatch if you ain't seen them photos. Damn at the girths!

That seems to be true. I wouldn't have him though. I'd be up all night worrying that he was sleeping with every ho in town. I'd probably have to start going to the chiropracter too.

chiropractor? sounds more like you need to see a shrink.
