qualifying complete; eight local races contested....
I wouldn't call the Mrs Pippins pulling the old switch-a-roo a surprise when someone called it on the blog a week ago. They predicted how it was going to happen and it did. That makes it no surprise just underhanded.
Why did the tax commissioner try to pull a fast one? I would have voted for Andrea. I guess I must be in the minority though since they thought they needed to dupe the voting public.
What did Geraldine do that is so wrong? She exercised one of the two optioned she had. (Run - Don't Run) That's what's wrong with the voters. They get so transfixed on something that they can't see the real world.
The sheriff's race will really be something. But in the end someone will win and the rest will lose.

Rather than wasting time bad mouthing a person, try to tell the people something good about the person you would like to see voted in.
In the end we all want honesty and integrity serving in our elected positions.
The people running for office would do well to learn what the responsibilities are for the office they seek and then tell the people how they will achieve them. If they are ask a question that involves giving thier opinion - they should give it and not try to dance around it.
i think andrea deserved the job and i would have voted for her,but like it was said geraldine will be remembered for this sneaky deed and it may make people distrust andrea whether she had any foreknowledge of pippin's plan or not.i am afraid it will cause alot of problems for the new commissioner.victory is really only sweet after you finish the fight,a race can only won when you enter the competition.all geraldine would have had to done was to say that she was behind andrea and all pippin's supporters would have supported andrea.
When deciding who to vote for in an election you always need to take a step forward not backwards. Thats whats wrong with alot of organizations today. Bringing Larry back would be a big mistake. He screwed everything up when he was Sherrif. Joe Buice has fixed his alot of his mistakes. Joe has the sherrif's Department running great without any crooked deputy's. We need to keep it this way. Everyone makes mistakes I know. This county is in good hands now. We need to keep it that way.
As far as DA, we need someone with back bone. Kathy Martin would be a great person. She will make the right decision.
We need a coroner who will do his job. When someone dies we don't need to be waiting for the coroner for an hour or two. We need someone who can take care of things promptly. Spencer has had experience with this job. I think we need to give him a chance.
And so you 60 to 72 people who quit, are you all like sitting around on your asses doing nothing drawing unemployment? That's not too much different from when you were employed by JB then, huh? Sitting around on your asses doing nothing, collecting a paycheck errrr stealing tax payers money? The real question is, are you ready to sit on your asses for at least four more years? 'Cause that is what is about to happen if you are waiting on Wallow or McLardass or 'Zo to hire you.
You sit on your ass at home complaining about everything. Wait till Larry gets back in the Sheriff's office! This county hasn't seen anything yet! I remember how pissed off he got when JB was elected. Larry will destroy Lamar County. He will rehire all the crooks agian. Welcome back! But if you had been doing your job in the beginning you wouldn't have gotten fired!
I am never more amazed as a former Waller employee all the people who can't even spell Sheriff's Office that get on a soap box and talk about how the office was run. Waller is,was,and will be the best Sheriff Lamar County has ever seen.

It is trying to load the mov file Big Bill into IE every time the page is brought up. This hangs up the page in IE.

Gee...how sad. This should teach other crooked politicians a lesson. Geraldine will now only be remembered as playing games and deceit!

Tell you what if you will vote for Waller it will solve two problems Waller won't be crying and you'll have a much better sheriff and sheriffs dept.
