This is for my beloved cousion Davy Weaver.
In Loving Memory of Davy Weaver
If tears could build a stairway, And memories were a lane. I would walk right up to Heaven, To bring you home again.
No farewell words were spoken, No time to say goodbye. You were gone before I knew it, And only God knows why.
My heart still aches in sadness, And secret tears still flow. What it meant to lose you, No one will ever know.
You and Angels around Gods happy throne. I would have held you closer if I had known.
We love and miss you Davy.
Love Dawn Weaver Pace
I don't think I'd seen Davy since our Papa's funeral but I always think back of some of the time we spent together growing up.
In my job I've spent some time with families headed to war and I've sat with families that have received this same tragic news.
With that you kind of feel immune to it all. We're not.
God Bless you Davy!
I'll miss you bud!

God Bless the Weaver family. My heart and prayers go out to you.
I am so sorry for the Weaver family. I will never forget the pain of seeing that Marine Corps vehicle pull into the driveway of our home that May of 1968 to tell us that my brother had died in Viet Nam. The pain this family is feeling won't be forgotten, and my prayers are with them as they are going through this.
Davy Weaver is one of our country's finest heroes. He gave his life so that we can walk in America safe and free. May God be with his precious family.
God Bless all our Soldiers and Marines, Airmen and Sailors
thoughts and prayers are with ya'll.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Weaver family in this most difficult time. Tomorrow 5/21/08 is one year to the day that I had to bury my son, Lance Cpl Jeffrey D. Walker. I know the pain that you are feeling right now. I know how it feels when that car is sitting in your yard and they get out and come to your door with the most unimaginable words you ever want to hear. The days ahead are going to be hard one. Please know that if you want or need to talk or someone to just listen, please feel free to contact me. I am watching for the funeral arrangements, our family will be there to honor your fallen hero. Also we are here for your family. My heart goes out to you.
Part of your military family!

My thoughts and prayers are with my Aunt Pasty and family, Uncle Teddy, Cynthia and Davy's wife, Susan. When I heard the news I looked into the sky of North Carolina and thought how beautiful the clouds were and then it hit me that Davy would be seeing them from a different view. He made it to grandma and papa and God before us, he is lucky in that way. We will miss him but let us rejoice that we can still serve Our God because of his sacrifice here in America.

The entire Weaver family are in my thoughts and prayers at this time. As an army family I completely understand the feeling of dread and fear when anyone comes knocking at the door. We will keep you all in our prayers.
I served with SFC Weaver on our previous Iraq tour with the 48th BDE. I worked with him closely and my prayers go out to his family. He was both an outstanding soldier and a great man.
I've known Davy for quite a few years and we worked together while he was working at the prison in Jackson. He will surely be missed.
I had the pleasure of serving with SFC Davy Weaver in Bosnia has his Company Commander at FOB Connor. He was one of the best platoon sergeants that I had ever seen. We served together again in Iraq. There was only one Davy. He was the type of guy that would help anyone. He loved being in the Army, he loved his Nation, and he truly loved his Family.
Davy will be missed by everyone.

Davy was a fine soldier. I was his Company Commander in Bosnia and had the pleasure of serving with him in Iraq. There was only one Davy Weaver. A warrior that loved the Army, his Nation, and his Family.

what about his dad does any one fill sorry for him
My first double-date with Drew Marshall was with Davy Weaver and Andrea Jones! If it hadn't been for that, I wouldn't have my beautiful daughter, Deborah! I am so sorry for the Weaver family....including his father. I will pray for all of you.
I have so many great memories of Davy as we were growing up, but my fondest has to be all the times we and other cousins spent on the old tractor tires at Grandmother and Papa's, just talking and playing for hours. I will also never forget what he said when Papa was buried. After they had lowered the casket into the ground, Davy said, "We take care of our own", and he picked up a shovel and started to put dirt into the grave. Most of the cousins that day took turns helping to bury our beloved Papa. Of course we never knew Davy would be the next one. It will be my great honor and privilege to again help bury one of our own, not only a Weaver family loved one and hero, but also an American hero. We love and will miss you, Davy. Save a seat on a tractor tire for me in heaven.
I want to think all of you for your well wishes. I am proud to call Davy my brother. My life will never be the same again. But now I must stand strong for Susan,Momma, Daddy, Jamie, Jessica, Bradley, Malachi, and Ella.
I will miss you Bro.

I just returned to the US two weeks ago from Zabul Province, Afghanistan where I served with SFC Weaver. I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing in a cowardly IED attack. I knew SFC Weaver to be an exceptional soldier and an excellent person who could be depended upon in any situation. He will be missed by his brothers in arms and I extend my deepest and most sincere condolences to his family. To any person who may wonder what type of person or soldier he was I can testify that he was a true hero. May he rest in peace and may God bless his soul.

I do not know this family but I know of the great work of our American soldiers. When I read the story, I just wanted to express my deep sympathy. It is always a profound loss to lose an American Soldier. Blessings on the family and may they all be comforted by the love of God.

Davy Weaver was my friend. He came to me to administer his re-enlistment oath and sign his papers. I was honored to do it. He was a great guy and he will be missed.
