Stop that stupid stuff. It isn't the Sheriff's fault a few deputies don't follow the rules 100% of the time or misjudge things or do nothing wrong at all and have an accident.
The worse thing about this whole mess is when a deputy does something wrong, like run at high speed to a non-emergency, and if the Sheriff takes any action against him THAT becomes the Sheriff's fault also.
I'd rather have a Sheriff who enforces the law than one that ignores everything and makes the world around him feel all warm and fuzzy.
Its not the point that he disciplined the deputy, its the fact that he blamed the other officer for it and then told them not to provide back up for Milner. How childish.
The Milner Police Department writes their own ticket (no pun intended) by putting ONE officer on duty to run up and down the four lane stopping everything thing that moves and then they want someone else to run to their rescue if someone looks at them wrong? Geesh, man up boys and stop whining. If the cheif was the super cop he was portrayed to be on here he would have sense enough to have two people on patrol at all times to make the odds of the safety of his officer a little bit better. That's just piss poor management if you ask me. It's not like they can't afford it with all the revenue they are drumming up by writing tickets.
He is a super cop. Im sure he has more knowledge than the entire SO wrapped up together. Too bad he didnt run for sheriff. I am also sure he knows what is in Milners budget and how many officers he can afford. But this has nothing to do with him. He is not the one jumping up and down stomping his feet.
Yeah too bad he didn't. He stood about as much chance as Taylor, McLardy and Middleton. Maybe he WOULD have gotten as many votes as the three of them put together. He has assembled a fine group of wannabe state troopers up there in Milner. I just hope they don't turn out to be a bunch of regulators. But you're right, it's not about him. But it did come up about the MPD not getting back up from the SO. Again, not very smart to have just one officer working traffic. Not safe for the officer and just plain stupid.
There is still another week left for someone to throw their hat into the sheriffs race......who will it be. I have heard rummors and if its true JB is going to have a real big surprise.

NO, the one who wrote it about the dispatcher is not just writing crap because they are bored. She broke the law and should have been accountible for it. Most people in town know about the picture perfect incident. The ones who dont will find out during the election.
Was the picture perfect incident as bad as the stolen dump truck incident? Was it as bad as firing all the jailers when the election was lost? Was it as bad as the fake bomb kids that were "never caught"?
Is anything about breaking the law worse than another? Can you comment a little crime less than a larger crime when you wear the badge? Shouldnt you stand for what it represents? I would be willing to bet its not the first time they have been on the WRONG side of the law and yet she still wears the badge, hum what else could they be covering up in the SO? Why would this one get away with things when others dont? It will all come out.
What happen with the comments about the affairs, and the other stuff, was it to much for the SO to handle? Or is her connections deeper than we thought?
9:10 old news or not. The public has the right to ask why we have people wearing a badge, and going against the law and still allowed to hold her postion at the SO.
Once again, how did you go from a school bus accident to the sheriff's race???? I think that the bus driver showed extremely poor judgement. The lack of good judgement on the part of several of Lamar County's bus drivers is the reason I won't let my kids ride one. Iheard the woman went to sleep and that's what caused the accident in the first place. Personally I don't think she should be given a second chance to hurt more kids but as usual in this county, the more you screw up or off the more highly you are regarded.

I have called in two that have run in front of trains, and last week they had yet another near miss on Old Milner Road.
