Loadin' up another one...Way to go Officer Webster. I hope the new inmate enjoys the digs here in Lamar County until he is "rehabbed."

They ought to throw these bums in jail for a long time. For $50 worth of copper they do thousands of dollars worth of damage.

This crap has to be stopped. Make an example out of them with felony charges.

Amen, copper theft needs to stop!

The new law is the value of the goods is now the replacement cost of the goods including labor, not just the scrap price of the goods. This primarily changed because people were ripping off copper from cell sites where a few bucks of scrap copper would cost the cell site owner ten's of thousands of dollars to replace.

You can bet these guys have a felony if they ripped very much wire out.

Good work by the SO. Hopefully the DA will somehow find time to do his job, unlike many other cases.

WEBSTER IS THE MAN

Congratulations Rick McCreary for catching these guys in the act of stealing wire. Great work Rick and the rest of the SO.

Rick McCreary would have made an outstanding County Commission Chairman too. I guess we will just have to live with what we got for now. Pit...ty....ful.

Way to go Rick and all of you at the S.O.

ok Walter 5:39 is bashing DELETE NOW

i'd love to see some real investigative unbiased reporting on how many cases our DA prosecutes and reaches a sucessful conclusion compared to other DA's in the USA. that would answer all the questions. what newspaper or internet webloid will step up to the plate?!!

Anonymous said...

a deputy was in a wreck? anyone know what happened or if everyone was OK?

Anonymous said...

5:39, is not bashing...quit whining, Walter doesn't run a child care service...come on. 5:39 is just speaking the truth.

Yes, I know what happened in the accident involving the deputy. The deputy was en route to back-up a Milner Police Officer who had just pulled a car over that was occupied by 5 subjects. The Milner officer had found marijuana in the vehicle, and asked for assistance while he conducted a search of the vehicle. Now comes the GOOD part-- the deputy was de-moted, and now NONE of the deputies are allowed to assist Milner Police Department.
All of this for a traffic accident??

This is not a blog. This is just one persons opinion, and if it differs from from your own it's zapped in space. A lot of you get your wish now. GMAC is off the air. I don't want to interfer with Walter's monopoly on free speech.

We can bash all the Mexicans and Democrats and blacks we want on this blog, but we can't be critical of the local prosecutor or any other public official no matter how much of a problem they cause.

Wow! we got a genius on our hands here....like it or go feel yourself while you watch Obammy talking on how he is going to destroy our country.

The D.A. can only prosecute cases as they are brought to him by law enforcement. If the cases are no good, then they can't be prosecuted. Maybe THOSE numbers need to be investigated and reported.
