how to kill a political career...

from associated press...

New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer has apologized to his family and the public, but did not elaborate on a bombshell report that he was involved in a prostitution ring.

Spitzer says he "acted in a way that violates my obligations to my family" and says he has to spend time with his family.

Spitzer's wife stood at his side, her hands behind her back and her eyes cast downward, as he made the statement. The New York Times reported earlier in the day that Spitzer told his senior aides he was involved in a prostitution ring.

Spitzer, the crusading politician who built his career on rooting out corruption, had told senior advisers he was involved in a prostitution ring, The New York Times reported Monday.

The Times reported that a person with knowledge of the governor's role believes the governor is identified as a client in court papers. Four people allegedly connected to a high-end prostitution ring called Emperors Club VIP were arrested last week.

The Web site of the Emperors Club VIP displays photographs of scantily clad women with their faces hidden. It also shows hourly rates depending on whether the prostitutes were rated with one diamond, the lowest ranking, or seven diamonds, the highest. The most highly ranked prostitutes cost $5,500 an hour, prosecutors said.

walter the folks know what is meant and you do to. the county just up and let another authority give away some county owned land to the city and now another authority is getting a grant to acquire land. this may be the B/LC IDA but we know who is on that authority and they have already proved (with scruggs and the illegal land deal) that they are capable of hiding the truth. that little episode would have put an extra 200k or more in tax revenues to the county. oh! but this was kept a secret wasn't it.

I am confused. What illegal land deal? And what is wrong with getting a grant? And how have we missed out on $200K in tax revenues? Inquiring minds want to know!!

8:41 I'll give someone a chance to answer that and if they won't say I'll tell you.

It has to do with a land purchase by a company locating to lamar county - a law suit - keeping the rent paid - the FNB - and an under the table scandle to undermind the land deal.

The IDA is fully aware of it and how they did it. Better read this one quick because it'll probably be deleted by the administrator.
