Good news. This means McCain will be running against Obama, and that assures the Democrat will win!

Really? Interesting the way some see this election going. I say the left is fighting it out and the right will have rest, money, energy and a game plan that will give them the victory

right wingers crying now that they dont have a horse in the race....maybe it is because alot of conservatives have seen the light....thompson, huckabe, paul, romney, and other conservatives showed that the votes are just not there.....i think newt saw this and that is why he never entered the fight...this may do as much for the country as the medicare and social security and fair housing and voting rights and equal opportunities......long live the left

Yes. Those are indeed issues for you liberals to hang their hats on.

Social Securtiy - there's a successful program. Say no more about a bankrupt system.

Fair Housing - I wonder why we're in a real-estate crunch right now? Giving mortgages to folks that really shouldn't be homeowners?

It ain't over until the fat lady sings. Don't count Mike Huckabee out. This couuld be a true undergo story...like the NY Giants. Nobody thought David could beat Goliath...but he was chosen by God. If God be for you who cant be against you. Go Mike!

"liberals may drive you crazy, but conservatives are worst...."

Liberleft,

If I'm not asking too much, will you please clarify that statement.

I guess I have a difficult time understanding the liberal slang and that statement really sailed over my head. I'm not asking you to change your opinion, just make it understandable.

Thank You,
G.M.

To anonymous @ 8:50 AM from (can Obama win nationwide),

I forgot to apologize to you just in case I appear loquacious again. I can think of no other way except to ask Liberleft the question. I tried ESP but I never received a reply. I considered contacting Ghost Hunters, UFO Hunters, and Monster Quest but decided that I didn’t want to wait for the episode or the possible risk of missing it when it came out.

Sincerely,
Loquacious GMAC

what i guess i meant is that the right wingers get upset when we mention national healthcare, global warming, pro choice, hillary, mcCain, obama, unions, and etc...therefore it makes you crazy.......but to us, the things the right wingers say, fairtax, decrease spending on medicare and medicaid, torture, surge, romney, karl rove, chenney, etc ....all these things drive us crazy....and to us this is worst......maybe I should have said " liberals may drive you crazy, but conservatives are crazy"

Liberleft,

Thanks for the reply.

We’re all the same looking for a better life. However, we shouldn’t expect government to provide it. Our government gets involved in a lot more than they should. Most should be handled at the state level.

I would like to see national healthcare but how would it be handled and paid for? Maybe the state should pave the way.

I am concerned about global warming too but is it caused by us or is this a reoccurring thing in time?

I’m all for fair tax and I really don’t see all the difficulty with it. Research your history and discover Bankers were behind the current Federal Income Tax system. I think you will find a president that regrets starting it up too.

It is my personal opinion that liberals hurt this country because to me they just want to give it away. Thomas Jefferson said, “The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.” That is what liberals appear to be doing. If I’m wrong, please clear the issue up.

As for pro choice, I think it is wrong but, that will be have to be taken up with God, the woman, and those that assisted in it. It shouldn’t be a federal government issue.

you dont see very much do you. you just get a opinion and start going on and on with your typical rhetoric. go back to warener robbins with your worthless opinions and stop making threats you dont follow through on. come back when you make some sense.

Liberals. Let's blame it all on liberals.

Bush's tax cut was for the wealthy. What does that mean?? It means the rest of the people have to take up the slack. Clinton supports the Bush tax cuts for the rich and for moving manufacturing off shore.

Some people are so stupid. They listen to the politicians that convince the brainless the problem is a gender problem, when the problem really is they are all screwing the middle class.

This is why the middle class that used to be the backbone of America is disappearing. The middle class lacks common sense and so enough believe the latest wave of lies that come from the freeloaders in Washington to keep them going.

What were the big Republican Bush tax cuts? They were for the big corportaions moving things offshore and for the people making over $100K a year. The more money you made starting at 100 grand, the bigger the tax cut. Bush did that while spending trillions on a senseless war that can never be won. Those people have been killing each other since before Christ walked the earth, and they have not stopped yet. Who in their right mind would think they want a system like we have? Our system isn't working well either for most people, and certainly not for the future.

Who pays for the tax cuts the working class never sees? Either we charge it to a big account and borrow from China and the Saudis, and let our kids deal with it...or we shift that burden on the middle class.

Fair tax is just such a plan. It shifts the tax burden even more away from the wealthy and to the middle and lower middle class consumers who are forced to buy what they need to live. It shifts the 30% income tax people making $100k a year pay to a 30-35% tax on every good and service we all use, including fuel, food, housing, and even fishing worms.

They two ways you could cut your taxes would be to barter and buy and sell in an illegal black market or to simply stop buying anything.

Only a fool would think something like that is a good idea for the middle class.

5:49AM you don't have any guts do you? You talk with authority and hide behind anonymous. You are the type that wants someone else to do everything for you and you don't want to help. By the way it's spelled Warner Robins. I always felt that any opinion is better than bitching - whining - and complaining. Have you offered anything lately?

Here's some cheese to go with that whine.

Anon 607,
Please quit making the same mistake over and over again. The Bush tax cuts INCREASED the taxes taken into the Fed from the top 1%.
These tax cuts increased the budget and paid for MANY,MANY Mandatory Spending (Social/Entitlement) increases for SS, Medicare/cade, Welfare and Food Stamps. I would love to start slashing the last two but people like you (Class Warfare Enthusiasts) stand in the way.

And if you care to know,
that top 1% of "Tax Cut" income earners pay 39% of the total taxes.
Please read a little into Supply Side Economics.
This link backs up my tax burden % quotes. Notice the lower tax burden on the bottom rung earners.

Taxes from '99 to '05.

The FairTax is a great idea and I'll leave it at that since you will never see this my way.
