do you really care....

how or why heath ledger died?

i was amazed the findings from his autopsy garnered 15-20 column inches in the main news sections of both the macon and atlanta papers this morning.

is that really what passes for hard news now?

don't we have more important things going on?

If Americans look in their medicine cabinets they'd probably find many medicines, if used in combination could be fatal.

...And, yes, if we do not, we should be very concerned about this issue.

...Also, in the days ahead, more emphasis will be placed on the use of drugs, both prescribed and over the counter.

...Finally, the President and other representatives will bring this issue to the forefront in the days ahead as they should.

Our society is fascinated with pop culture. It's a sad reality. Gossip sells---heck it made Perez Hilton famous.

with a national health care program, the computers would have spit out the fact that he was having excess prescriptions filled that could have bad results if used together......also would have identified the doctors who had prescribed the excessive meds...we need to go after the offending prescribers and the pharmacies that fill the excess meds.....if doctors and pharmacies lost their licenses instead of getting their wrists slapped, they would be more careful.....remember elvis cabinet of excess drugs....

Who the heck is Perez Hilton?

Computers tracking my medical records and prescription history? Apparently you haven’t heard of a little thing called HIPAA. Thanks to the bleeding heart liberals and civil rights idiots such a system will never exist.

yes, i believe alot of people were interested in the manner of his death,,,,maybe it will help other people who do legal and illegal drugs be more careful when they mix drugs.....also it may put pressure on the few physicians who overprescribe drugs to people who are in power, or in sports, or in entertainment, or in talk radio...not all drug abusers are low class poor people.......if ledger had been caught doing all these drugs, he would entered drug treatment center and the doctor writing the rx wouldnt even be given a slap on wrist....if a poor black bought a bit of grass and coke, he and the dealer would be in jail right now
