Is this a trick question?

I'm going to reply although; I'll likely get some abuse over my OPINION. But it is my opinion so it doesn’t have to agree with yours.

I currently plan to vote to do my part but I'm rapidly losing faith in our election process.

How many people will vote for Obama because of his skin color or Hillary because of her gender? How many people will turn away from McCain, Romney, or Huckabee because of Bush? What percentage of voters actually knows what each candidate, or their own candidate, really stands for. I’d bet if the truth be known, it would be a shocker.

Who is really capable of leading this country?

I think today’s government is a far cry from what our forefathers intended but what they may have predicted.

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty. Thomas Jefferson 1801-1809

I don't think today's government has any fear of the people.

It is only when the people become ignorant and corrupt, when they degenerate into a populace, that they are incapable of exercising their sovereignty.
James Monroe 1817-1825

Can anyone other than me see any thing similar to Monroe's comment?

May God save the country, for it is evident that the people will not. Millard Fillmore

AMEN

You can go to www.AFA.net and find a voter guide to see where the candidates stand on issues. It is a real eye opener and a great help on who to choose.

G. McCall excellent points. Most people listen to talking heads who run newspapers, television stations, radio stations and etc... for help in determining who they should vote for and like sheep, they fall for the wolve's trap. I, for one, am sick of Republicans and Democrats and will never ever vote for any of them again even if Jesus, Mohammed, MLK Jr or any other person of great stature were to run. I know many of you may not like the Green Party but if you just could've been here in the San Francisco Bay Area last month and saw how their candidates respected each other and genuinely interacted with each other and the audience, you would began to at least respect them as viable candidates. There were no planted questions or planted people in the audience like you see in every debate with Repubs and Demos.
