How sad this story is....These children have not only lost their Dad but there mother is in jail under arrest for his murder. Certainly, no one wins in this situation. We are only thankful this family can have closure after this terrible crime. Now it is time for justice to be served; however, that will take the willingness of the DA to take this case to trial instead of letting someone plea bargain and get off light like the rest of the murderers in our county.

inbred, seems to me the inbred ones in this situation is not donald nor his family but his murdering ex-wife, and her little puppet, ken.All you people want to keep on saying that the family is crazy and "white trash". looks like the crazy ones here are her and her boyfriend. Revisiting the "Rotting' site Repeatedly, enough to leave a well-worn trail to the corpse.I mean what would you do with a dead body? Seems like some necrophilial activity to me.you can only hope that everything is figured out and "all" those that are involved are brought to justice. Justice as brutal as what they did, to an honest man. a loving father and a hard worker. He didnt deserve this, but maybe people will find it in their hearts to give "true" justice to the guilty!

Thank you for the rapid reporting Herald Gazette. This case seemed to have been coming to a stalemate and with the GBA being a bit hesitant to release information at this time it was great to hear what is going on. Rumor was already starting to spread.

I don't think I would have that smirk on my mug-shot if I wanted to look innocent. Seems they need to bury the keys while they have her locked up. How could anyone feel they needed to do this to someone because they couldn't get along?

we should all remeber how another local news tabloid slanted coverage almost sounding like the person charged was victimized by the bad sheriff the owner of that tabloid hates so much. it is good to read news in an unbiased web page like walters. good for walter for reporting the news honestly instead of trying to spin the story for personal prejudices.

My heart goes out to the family of Donald. What a terrible time it must be for you. I pray this helps bring closure to you. Please ignore all those who doubted Donald and thought he "ran away" and left his children. Most of us who met Donald had faith that he would never run away from his kids.

I kept asking and Sheriff Buice always said he hoped to close this case before Christmas. He kept working hard and kept his word. His investigator Rick M did a great job also and deserves special thanks. We are losing a great Sheriff and a good team.

I appreciate having a Sheriff that did not hole up in his office and pout when he lost the election, and who kept working in spite of the efforts by a few people to ruin the image of the SO.

I would like to thank the Herald Gazette for the unbiased reporting and for keeping personal bias out of the way of reporting. You are very professional. that is something others could learn from. Thank you all. Let's all say a prayer for the families.

I sincerely wish the family well through this tough time in what should've been a time for loving exchanges with family and friends..Good job "Tipster" and to the sheriff office for following through..The sheriff office had never been this competent while I lived in Barnesville up until 1998 and I can't fathom why the citizens voted Buice out. I sincerely hope he runs again in 4 years.

Sincerely,

LZT

Sorry for the families loss. Most of us probably figured he was murdered.

I also notice a certain "newsman" is now complaining he wasn't allowed into the crime area.

Only certified or accredited news reporters should be allowed near a crime, not certified nut cases or accredited gossips.

"I appreciate having a Sheriff that did not hole up in his office and pout when he lost the election, and who kept working in spite of the efforts by a few people to ruin the image of the SO."

Quoted for truth!

We were fortunate to have this man in office for the last four years. Won't be so lucky in the coming four.

Since the blog owner will censor any other comments, I'll pass for now. After all, calling the Atlanta TV stations is a simple solution to problems to come.

Wow what a sad ending to this story. My heart goes out to the Clark family during this sad time. Is there a memorial fund or something set up for his two little kids?

I see the "other media" is whining and crying about not having access to a crime scene again. They did the same thing when there star reporter was refused access to another potential crime scene area when a young man comitted suicide on a public road. I never see the Herald Gazette whining. Instead they have a good clean story from outside the crime scene.

What makes a person think he can run all over a crime scene as he wishes just because it was on or near a public road and he has a web page? Does the press have special rights or do they have special certification?

Donald Clark was a wonderful man, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be dearly missed my many. My heart goes out the his family in this time. He was a loving man and would do anything for anyone. Those that knew him knew the kind and loving heart he had and we will carry that with us always. Donald will always be in our hearts. Love you Donald you were the best friend anyone could ask for. My you rest in peace.

I wonder how they enjoyed their Christmas. I wonder if they even thought about the people they have hurt and the children they left behind. Guess they were a lot happier before they got caught???

In Loving Memory
Sometimes we take for granted
What we think we’ll never lose
We never thought it’d happen
‘till we heard the dreaded news

We didn’t know that morning
God had called our daddy’s name
In life we loved you dearly and
In death we do the same

It broke our hearts to lose you
Though you did not go alone
For a part of us went with you,Dad
The night you left our home

A golden heart stopped beating
Now @ peace your soul may rest
With this we are reminded that
God only takes the best

Goodbye is never easy
It’s the hardest thing to do
But taken from us was the chance
To say those words to you

So today if you are listening
From your new home in the sky
We both want you to know,Daddy –
We Love you and Goodbye!

A fund has been established for the benefit of Donald's two young boys.
Donations can be made @ any United Bank branch in the name of
JACOB & JOSH CLARK.
Please continue to pray for this family ~

i think that we need to remember that a person in this country is inocent until proven guilty. im no saying to let them go but most of u have them hung already and dont even have all the evidence yet. i would like to see rick and his taem left on this case until the conclusion, no reason they need to start over. it does seem pretty amazing to me that no one knew any thing until a few days ago and in a matter of days all of these tips just poped up out of the blue. could there be more to this than what we read.

I find it just disgusting that in a time such as this people can so freely throw out horrible statements about the victim and his family. Looks like they are the "real" white trash. My family had the pleasure of being a neighbor to both Donald and his brother for many years. They were always good friends to us. No one deserves this!! I feel so sad for his children and his family. I hope that the two (and any others that were invloved) rot in H***!! My sincere condolences to the Clark family....

Thanks Sheriff Buice and R. Mccreay for the great job you guys have done. being in law enforcement myself you have solved this case, however politics as they are is waller going to allow mccreary to stay on and prosecute, and allow him the rescources he needs to complete his case. or is this another familys misfortune to suffer the politics of lamar county. congrats. Buice you will be missed.
