if mccain had given campaign speeches like the consession speech he gave tonight, he would have won......it was the old nice, good, liberal, non violent, statesman....

I have absolutely no faith in the newly established idea of Obama being a moderate executive. I do believe he will be a benevolent leader but a good hearted march into socialism will not create a different outcome. This IS a march towards socialism. Preceded by other presidents torn from the same cloth, we ,as a whole, will be blinded from this obvious descent. As long as wealth and those holding it are viewed as evil, hard work, inheritance of wealth and property, and the spirit of individuality and personal liberty will be viewed as tools of the wicked. Get out of debt, prepare yourselves for the tough road ahead. High inflation is certain and will continue an upward trend from there. Obama has been handed a tough task but his biggest fight will be with his own ideology and its inability to create prosperity. We will be the victims of his economic fallacy just the same as we are the victims of the current bailout/inflation shellacking. Bubba
Since we have numerous seniors and retirees in our community, if you plan to give your children an inheritance, do it now because when NOBama gets in office, you will be giving half of it to the government so they can in turn "spread the wealth". What a shame our country has lowered itself to this. Oh by the way, you will not see the "first lady" saluting the flag or standing for the national anthem, she objects to that. Mr and Mrs. NOBama said it should be changed to "We are the World".
I gave my two weeks notice today!! YEAH!! Obama promised me that I wont have to work!! He said I will have a house, he will buy my food, and my medical will be taken care of!! All I need to do to help this economy is put air in my tires!!
happy days are here again.....jan 20th cant come soon enough.....help is on the way....thank God for Pres Obama...may he be reelected in 2012,,,,,,the u.s. will regain its lead in the world community
Some one said that since they couldn't get a mule and 50 acres given to them they decided to take 50 sates and the white house.Not too bad if you ask me.
What family are you referring to? Buddy? Buddy already answered that question TWICE in the paper, saying he was not interested in working at the LCSO because he is enjoying his retirement. Or would you be referring to David? Because they were the only family he had working for him. Personally I think if Larry hired David as a deputy, the county would have an great deputy, a man who loves this county and its people and would work hard for them. Buddy will be greatly missed and was a tremendous assest to the LCSO for a number of years.
Joe Buice had his family on the payroll too. So what. As long as the person is qualified for the job, big deal.
Just heard from a very reliable source that he has packed up his office and said he would not be dealing with the public for the remainder of his term. He would only be there for his deputies! ..... Now how do all of you JB backers feel now that he is not there FOR YOU ? I'm just glad the GSP will feel welcomed back into Lamar County once again and Sgt Mike Maynard can now begin talking back on the Sheriff's radio band. He was banded by JB a year ago from that radio frenquency because he thought he was going to run for Sheriff against him! Most of you out there did not know that because that is just the kind of man that Mike Maynard is! He would have made a great sheriff too! :- )
Joe Buice is just fine. He is not packing up his office, turning in uniforms or locked in his office waiting for his preacher to come and get him out. He will continue to be the upstanding Sheriff he has been until his time expires.
