u.s. senate race...
with 90% of precincts reporting...
chambliss has 1, 565,020 votes to 1,325,846 for martin and 105,254 for buckley. at present, chambliss has enough (52.2%) to win without a runoff.

Saxby Chambliss is a very great man. He has a very meek and humble spirit. We need people like him in the White House. Congratulations to Saxby!! By the way, I can honestly say I am so happy not to have to hear those lame Jim Martin commercials anymore.
They didn't call him Saxby Shameless for nothing. Where was his meekness and humble spirit when he was ripping the last limb off the triple amputee he ran against when he first won the seat. The man had jumped on a granade to save fellow service men's lives. Saxby did a character assination that was sickening to watch. I'm hoping for a runoff.
A bit to early as it now appears there will be a run-off. I was hoping one of the two would get 50% because I am tired of both candidates commercials. Both Chambliss & Martin have had the most negative ads of any recent race.
"Just my thoughts"...you need to read Cleland's autobiography "Strong At The Broken Places." Max had just exited a helicopter when he looked on the ground and saw a grenade. He thought it fell off his belt and reached down to pick it up. Unfortunately, the pin was out of the grenade and as Max reached down to pick it up, the grenade exploded. As Paul Harvey would say..."and now you know the rest of the story."
OK 10:34pm You are correct about the grenade, he was picking it up. I was right about the character assination. Chambliss sat out the vietnam War with a bad knee. Cleland served heroically. Chambliss ads were so negative that several republicans complained, including John McCain. They showed images of bin Laden and Hussain and acused him of being soft on terrorism among other things. Shameless.
Go ahead you idiots and back Martin, the liberal democrats are in Washington today trying to decide how they can "seize" your retirement accounts and put them in a social security pool and SPREAD THE WEALTH. Everybody get out and vote for Chambliss !!!!!! Keep your hard earned 401K and don't give it to the drug dealing thugs who refuse to work.
9:13 I gues you are to stupid to know that the democratic congress "in charge for the last 2 years" blew it. Not Bush and the republicans. If you were smart enough you can find everything you need to show that republican leadership was screaming that this was going to happen.
Democrats turned a deaf ear. Now they are pointing fingers. Stupid leadership will drive us down without the stupid supporters even knowing what happened. I guess you are in that finger pointing group.
