Kudos to Mayor Banks...now, hopefully, I can talk with my daughter who does not have service with Verizon.

Walter, what was holding this up in the first place?

I can't wait to get my iPhone, my brother was in this weekend and had his...it was sweet!

iPhone, Verizon, Alltel, AT&T, T-mobile, Sprint, Motorola, Nokia and other. You know same cellphones

Big city of Barnesville/Lamar County, small city of Milner and very small town of Aldora. Large town!!! Look like Jackson or Monticello or Athens/Clarke County or Griffin? I guess

I don't see the point. If I was to get an iPhone I could get service here but not other counties right? But If I stay with Verizon I could get service everywhere.

The Iphone only works with AT&T ...so to answer you question....no you couldn't get service in B'ville with the Iphone until an AT&T tower is placed there.....There is very limited coverage for AT&T there.....THe iphone still may not be a good idea b/c i doubt they will invest for the the 3G network in that area.......so you will still have horribly slow download speeds and streaming speeds for the internet...but can use the phone to talk/text

Im talking about other counties. Could I get service in Thomaston, Griffin, Macon...? If I couldn't what would be the point to get an iPhone if I could only use it in Lamar?

when Obama gets done screwing up the country the only person we will need to call is God...we should have been talking to Him all along and maybe we wouldn't be about to be in the mess we are about to be in

If you want to see where coverage would be simply go to wireless.att.com....you can put in your zip code or the zip code you are inquiring about.....and expand out to 50-100 miles from there......keep in mind b/ville will not show up until it is updated, but it should give you an idea of where coverage will be for you....macon is covered...not sure of thomaston, griffin and further north is good as well
