trojans fall in summers field finale...
22-15 to pike pirates.
a large crowd was on hand to celebrate the closing of the venerable old stadium.
The Trojans played their hearts out against Pike. It was one of the most exciting Trojan games of the year. Hold your heads up guys...you all played great!
This team has grown in power and in spirit each week. We are looking forward to see the excitment that the Stickland era holds for Lamar County in the future! We are proud of you guys!
The Trojans played great and could have won. It's a shame that the last game played will be remembered by the lousy officiating and not the heroics of the game.
I think that the Trojans played a great game. I heard people comment that the refs won that game for Pike and I even heard it from the Pike Co fans, so go figure. Trojans hold your heads high and be proud of what you have done this year. You have improved and it will only get better. Don't let bitter people bring you down and to Coach Strickland keep up the good work. It takes time and dedication from the players, family and the community.
Scan ran a flourishing program into the ground. Then bailed. He broke a program that was fixed. Now we got a guy that has to build it back to prominece and it's gonna take a few years to do it.
