I was homeschooling my children and received a phone call to turn the television on. We spent that day watching one of the saddest days in history unfold before our eyes. That was a History lesson neither my children or I will ever forget!
I was working for the Department of Defense working on airplanes that were used to respond to this cowardly attack.
I think those planes did a good job too. I think leadership did a good job. Seven years with zero more attacks.
A special thanks to all the members of the fire departments, law enforcement, as well as other agencies across the nation that stands ready to stand between you and harm. And a very special thanks to all the branches of the military that make it possible for you to enjoy the freedoms you enjoy. Never forget.

I was in LA on business, very grateful I forced a colleague from Boston to change his plans & arrive in LA Monday night instead of Tuesday morning. He had been booked on flight 11 which ended up in the Twin Towers.
I was heading to work. Once the 2nd plane hit, I went home made plans to take care of my family and defend my country for worst case scenario.
GAS is $5.20/gal. at Ingles!!!!
HELP, HELP, HELP
My husband, 2 kids and I were on a plane flying to Asheville NC for a one day visit.
Noticed the flight attendants made "the coming in to Asheville" announcement but when we got off the plane, the airport was deadly quiet.
We wondered what was going on, then wandered over to a bar where the television brought us up to speed.
Now what? We decided to grab our rental car, go ahead and tour the city and make a decision later on.
By 5pm, it was obvious that we had to find an alternate route home. Called Enterprise and told them we'd be driving the rental car to Atlanta.
When we finally got home that night, my young daughter went to pieces, crying.
This January, she joined the Navy. She is very proud to be an American, and wants to serve her country.
OH NavyMom that is wonderful! Sign her up at soldiersangels.org for support from all over this great country! You can sign up and support all our troops too!
