Dear All,

Gordon to test emergency system

Gordon College will be testing its emergency broadcast system Friday, Sept. 19. The test is expected to begin around 3:30 p.m. and should last for about 15 minutes. Residents living near the campus will hear a few short siren blastes followed by several different messages over a loud speaker. The broadcast system is one of several components of the college's emergency notification system.

This is how the rich gets rich everyone else panics and gets out before the market returns!!!

Put it on the stock market for a low cost and everyone rushes to SELL SELL SELL. Put it in a stores gas tank and raise the price 30% and everyone rushes to BUY BUY BUY.

What did Forest Gump say? "Stupid is as stupid does?"

The phrase fits perfectly.

the dow is now up 300 points for the 7 and half years that bush has been president....compared to 7000 point increase during clinton years........even the carter years were better than bush.......we have paid a high price just to have a president who is against abortion, but hasnt stopped any abortions.....they always bring up gay marriage and abortion when election time

I'm scared, too. From reading most of these posts, I'm afraid that many people see the economy crumbling all around them, but will still put another Republican in the White House. What sense does that make? Oh, I can hear it now..."It's not Dubya's fault!" WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!

anonymous @ 9:07 AM isn't it funny how you want to blame a republican party after, no doubt people like you voted in a democratic congress 2 years ago that sarted this spial downward. It's not the republican party - it was government as a whole. It wasn't Bush, it was government as a whole. McCain is not Bush nor is he Obama. These are troubling times and not the time to trust our nation to an inexperienced leader with good speaking qualities. He may be the right person tp lead this nation someday but it is not today.

So many people will vote for Obama just because the color of his skin. So many will vote McCain for gender reasons. The only change you will have is color or gender. I for one will take McCain's history and leadership experience any day.

For people like you to make judgements on his abilities based on his party is absurb. It would be the same as saying a person is not capable of leading because he/she is the wrong color or sex.

People of this nation should stop waving signs and ass kissing the party. They need to listen to each person and make an educated selection based on what they can do. Not what they say they will do.

There are two kinds of people in this nation. Those who are sorry and lazy and want the government to take care of them at any cost, and those who want to stand on their own two feet and keep government of of their lives.

Which one are you?

the government cant take care of the poor and the lazy people....they are busy taking care of the big rich companies that have been making bad mistakes.....the gov. bailed out fannie and freddie and bailed out bear sterns....then this weekend said they were going to let lehman bros go belly up because the gov wasnt going to bail out anyone else.....then today said they were going to put 85 bilion into aig to keep AIG afloat.....couldnt this money be used for healthcare or the deficiet..........dont you think it is a little irregular that the government when letting fannie and freddie and lehman bros stock holders lose all their money, did it on sundays....that way the big investors, institutions, and foreign investors can react quickly in the overseas markets that are open to salvage some of their money,,,,but the small investors on monday by the time they get in touch with their brokers, have lost their shirt....

it is looking like the big established conservative politicians are trying to shake loose of McCain....they are afraid they will get 4 years out of Mac, then have a non-winner in Palin vs. clinton......they are thinking now that they may have a better deal in letting Obama have 4 years of misery and gloom.....then they can get Newt G / romney ticket winner over Obama.....that would set up 8 yrs of Newt followed by 8 yrs of Romney..........they had rather have 4 yr of dem followed by 16 rep, rather than 4 rep followed by 8 of clinton

10:04 you can borrow my tractor if you want. The way you have your head wedged in there, you going to need a big tractor to get it out. If it can be done at all.

The rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer because they both keep doing the same things.

The middle class keeps getting squashed and squeezed because the rich (Super Rich, I'm talking on the order of $50 million in wealth plus) pit the poor against the middle class with the middle classes own money.

Rich is a behavior/reward for past decisions.

Poor is a behavior/punishment for past decisions made.

What does the Government have to do with this!
