dawgs ranked #1 in usa today preseason...
coaches poll.
are they that good?
will they win it all?
if not, who will?
how will georgia tech fare under new coach paul johnson?

UGA is deserved of the top ranking in the pre season poll based on their play from last year and what they have coming back. However, the game is played on the field and it will be up to the Mutts to prove themselves and keep their ranking. Can they do that? Time will tell.
As for Tech, the Jackets will win most of the games they are supposed to win and lose most of the games they are supposed to lose probably winning one they shouldn't and losing one they shouldn't. In other words, another average season on the flats but, in time, I think Coach Johnson will bring a consistent winner to the flats.
UGA will lose atleast a couple games, but still end up in the top 10 by season end. Georgia Tech will be an intresting team if they can grasp onto the Johnson offense. I think now Tech will do a reversal of a strong defense and weak offense in the past to an explosive offense and somewhat weaker defensive team.
I'm an avid dawg supporter, but one article I read on msnbc did scare me a little. At media day florida was voted to win the east by nearly 50% more votes than georgia.
Also the schedule is one of the toughest in NCAA history. I don't know if we (or anyone in that matter) can get it done with the stress of the road. But my will it be a fun ride.

My USC fans out here in Cali think differently. They say USC will meet and destroy Georgia by 20 points. I told them the Arizona State game will show America what a big fluke the Pac-1 "USC" is. I will definitely be in Arizona rooting for the Dawgs!

I enjoy reading smack talk even if I dont agree with the person posting, but 1:33 posts are not humerous at all....just dry, Kinda think he might pull on one.

I know a dude that spit a luggie on one of the ugas' before, the cheerleaders were yelling at him for doing it and he just flipped them off and kept going. That was pretty funny.
I guess since the Dawgs ended the year by spanking an undefeated team last year warrants them to be ranked so high...who was it again?...oh yeah, powerhouse Hawaii. Boy, that sure was an acomplishment right there. How tall do those Islanders grow?...maybe 5'11". Against those long-armed Willie B's from Uga...come on now!
Most preseason predictions show UGA making it through with one lose to either LSU, UF, Or Auburn @ the end but winning the SEC championship and going to play the NC, but getting beat by USC in the title game......not sure about the jackets, but they will definately be a more disciplined team for sure.
If UGA played in any other conference, it would be cake walk time. They are loaded. As it is, to go undefeated through their schedule will be nothing short of miraculous.

in the past 7 years, their only tough team played have been auburn, fla., tenn., and occasionally ala or lsu.......so average of 4 tough a yr, and they usually lose 2 or 3 of the four......this yr they have ala, lsu, auburn, tenn, fla, and ariz st.......they will lucky to lose only 2
I am not racist. My short, stocky,coconut tree-climbing rainbow warriors could'nt get their stubby little arms on those long armed,long legged saucer-lipped moon crickets and keep them from sacking our Qb. How come honesty becomes racisim today?
university of ga. at athens should not replace the dead uga with another bulldog, but should get a more realistic mascot that represents the redneck white trash that goes to that school....a pit bull comes to mind
you mean 50th in the nation for football right........i believe the main purpose of university is education......not partying, not football, not ratio of white to black students.....education only.........but if we must talk about football, ga. tech has won a national championship more recent than athens.....ga. didnt even win their eastern division last year...give me a break
