I always wondered what event would have to take place for me to forgive Michael Adams for refusing Vince Dooley two more years as AD. But if he pulls off this playoff deal, he may not be so bad after all.

While a playoff sounds good to the fans, not to mention the schools ranked 2-4, I don't think any of the conferences will want unless they can get some guarantees that the revenue stream for the conference will not decrease. The SEC alone, 8 of the schools are guaranteed a bowl invitation regardless of team quality . The payout to the conference is too much to risk for a playoff system, not to mention the SEC has done pretty well with the BCS.

the big conferences will not support this unless they are guarenteed that each conference is represented.....in that case this yr the sec would have been represended by l s u......if ga. and m. adams wants to be in champ game, they need to join the a c c so they dont have to play tenn, fla, and auburn....they would do good playing in the a c c....or they could petition the sec to let them play more s e la., central michigans, or ga. southerns.....

university of arkansas athelete director frank broyles said on t v during the cotten bowl that he thought the turmoil and contraversity about the BCS was great for college football....he said it helped ratings better than a playoff would......besides, fox network will never go for a playoff.......

I think Ga did pretty well against Fla and Auburn. The sec is the toughest conference and i think UGA represented well. I'm sure the ACC wouldn't mind bringing UGA on board....at least the fans would have a decent team to watch!

the big 10 and the pack 12 will never go along with a true playoff. usc mich ohio st and the rest would loose at least 3 games if they had to play a sec schedule. that would elimiate them from the playoff's. just like lewis grizzard said when he went to the mich ohio st game, reminded him of 2 mules fighting over a turnip

don't forget that during that time he was held prisoner of war by the chicago sun times

WOW!!! Correct me if Im wrong, but UGA has one a conference championship in the last 5-10 years Anon....As far as CMU and GSU.....ask Michigan what if those smaller schools are powder puffs.....they can be overlooked and beat you.....Are you a disgruntled Buckeye fan or something that just hates on everything SEC?

there won't be a undefeated team in the sec next year it's almost impossible with the schedules they have to play. mich will play only one team all year. southern cal will play 2 taems all year. the acc is the closest conf to the sec and they are 3 teams away from having a elite conf.
