this poll is running on the herald-gazette website but some may wish to comment here. which wireless carrier has the best coverage where you live and work?
i would love to get an apple iphone but am scared of lack of coverage hereabouts.

I have AT&T, Verizon and Nextel.
Verizon is the best hands down. I get spotty-at best-service from the other two in lamar county.
I agree Verizon has made the investment required in order to provide the best coverage in the region.
verizon totally blows away att. i tried att last week and i keep getting disconencted.
Verizon is not only has the best coverage in Lamar county, but the best in the nation. My job requires me to travel throughout the lower 48 and I never have coverage problems with Verizon. I use to have ATT & Cingular, but there are way too many dead zones. If you can wait about a year, the iphone will work on the Verizon network.
Put me on the Verizon train also. Since moving here from So. Florida, I have tried every carrier and they were the only one that had coverage at my home. I go to Los Angeles and Cleveland OH regularly and they excel there also. The only spot I lost my signal was in NE KY and SE OH, in the mountains
verizon is so much better, it makes you wonder what the other guys are doing to be able to get any customers....good thing the government subsidize them or we would not have any competion at all
