at tonight's commission meeting. the sheriff said the commission added funds to portions of his budget but cut almost all the funds out elsewhere in its budget proposal which could be approved as early as next week.

Now is not the time to cut our public safety budget. I bet some of those "pet" projects didn't get cut.
No more frivolous spending. If I can cut back, so can Lamar County. It's not hard people, just don't spend money on stuff you REALLY DON'T NEED. Why is it that people get in office and see all this money they can spend on this or that and they just go nuts spending. I could care less about a hooker hangout beside the post office. ??? Go lean for a couple of years and cut my property taxes. By the way, anyone else paying $1500/yr for a 1300sq.ft. house on one acre?? Just wondering if i'm the only one being raped? See why I'm on a budget??
