It is time for a change. 1-9 is unacceptable for a program that won back to back region championships just a few years ago. When is this madness going to end. Has everyone just gotten so apathetic and discouraged that they just don't even care anymore?

what was the score?

manchester won 35-14. Our guys led 7-6 at the half and it was tied at 14 after three quarters. we played an awful lot of young guys. manchester used three big plays in the fourth quarter to beat us. other than that, the score is not indicative of how close the game was.

I sure do hate it for the boys, that this year has not been a good one for them. I especially hate it for the Seniors.

On a much better note though, I'd like to announce that two of last year's seniors, JT Sutton and Isaiah Banks are headed to State playoffs this coming Sunday at St. Cloud Universty in Minnesota. If they win this one, not only will they win State but they'll also win the National Championship in D3. However, in the event that they are invited to play a bowl game and they lose, it could cost them the National Title. But, we feel sure that should they be invited they'll keep up their winning streak. The Rochester Yellowjackets are ranked 8th nationally with the NJCAA and 1st in the MCCC. They are undefeated with a record of 10-0. JT and Isaiah are both starters. JT plays quick guard and Isaiah, defensive back.

I hope you'll join me in congratulating these two former LCCHS Trojans! I know they read the blog.

We're very proud of you guys! Go get that State and National Title and bring it on home!

GO ROCHESTER YELLOWJACKETS!!

I believe with all the issues surrounding the LC football program there has to be a change. No discipline, poor fundamentals, huge athletic debt, and a 5 year record of 17-33 with no playoff appearances in one of the weaker regions in the state. No need for discussion in my eyes!!

Dandy Jack,

Let us all hope the game Friday night verus Heard County will be the final football games the present coaches ever coach for Lamar County High School.

Scandrett and staff have compiled a 17-32 record (17-33 after Heard whips them) in 5 years. A region record of 13-28, this in one of the states weakest regions too. Also in the 49 games under Scan and staff the Tojans have yeilded 30+ points to 21 opponets. These kind of stats should be unacceptable.

Heard county is looking to make a statement in this game. Trust me, it's going to get ugly fast! This coaching staff is the worst I have seen and I have been around a while. We are the "homecoming" team everyone wants to play. I sent my letter of resignation as a fan to the school board telling them if they dont get a new coach AND staff I will NOT be at any games next season!

Heard County did make a statement as REV expected. The Trojans lost to the Braves of Heard County by the score of 34-9. Lamar County hold a record of ZERO AND EIGHT in the region and ONE AND 9 for the season with their only win being against Meadowcreek by the score of 19 to 14. Meadowcreek has not won a football game since the 1st of November 2002 and that was against Crosskeys who are so use to losing that it's a normal function.

This may be the worst record ever for Lamar County.

We must have new coaches all around in the football program with a new Athletic Director.

Scan resigned last night. Word is that he WILL STAY OB AS ATHLETIC DIRECTOR. What kind of football coach in his right mind would come in here and take this job is he won't get the AD supplement too?
Inside scoop has it that this deal was reached three weeks ago.

Well "therealdeal" you could almost feel this was coming and in answer to you question as to what type of football coach would take over as head coach without being the athletic director would be one that doesn't have to worry about all work that goes along with the AD's job.

We would have a football coach that only worries about coaching football just like the other coaches.

Let us hope you are correct in the resignation of Coach Scandrett.

If Scan stays on just as the AD what would his salary be? Our school system has to many over paid administrators now. I know if I were a coach I would not want the former unsuccessful head coach looking over my shoulder all the time. This will not be a good situation to get a proven coach to move into. You cannot hire a proven coach that will make less money than where he is now. Sounds like a bad decision to me, although any change is welcome.

Barney.......I would rather an unsuccessful ex-coach look over my shoulder than a successful one look over it. Scan cant knock anyone who comes here. His teams have been the reason the away side scorebord bulbs need replacing after every game.

Approximately how much money was Scan making as head coach and AD?
