right now the way it looks UGA could be playing USC in the rose bowl if they win next week against UCLA. I would like to see the dawgs stay here on the east coast somewhere closer to where the majority of the fan base is. Playing USC in the Rose bowl is like a home game for them.

Something is surely wrong with the entire BCS process when the two teams playing for the SEC championship are ranked lower than another team from the SEC. I'm not taking anything away from the Dawgs, but it don't seem right that #3 SEC team can play for the national championship, but the #1 SEC team can't.

Yeah there is a flaw b/c if your team gets hot towards the end of the year you can rocket up the polls just like the Dawgs have done. They got hot at "almost" the right time. With a win over either South Carolina or UT we would be talking about them needing to win the SEC championship game to get to the National Title game and wondering who was going to play them right now instead of what all is going on. We should have a playoff system, but then the downside would be the schools would not recieve such large incentives for playing in these bowl games in late December and early January. Atleast we would have a true National Champ then though.

The bcs is the biggest bucket of crap they ever deviced. The sad part is these people openly admit it's all about money. Everything about it stinks. Unless somehow the Dawgs end up playing for the national chamionship this year, then it may not be that bad.

i've got to agree with trey. looks like uga will be in the grandaddy of the all against usc-west. the trojans and the dawgs are playing as well as anyone in the country right now. maybe even better than ohio state and west virginia who will, probably, end up in the national championship game. i think oklahoma beats mizzou in the big 12 championship to move OSU into the NC but UGA gets no help from Pitt who gets destroyed by WVU as the mountaineers also get a berth in the NC. but the trojans and the bulldogs will be a classic. two schools from conferences who boast to be the best in the nation. i hafe to admit, being a tech fan, i will be pulling for usc but, i will say, uga can beat anyone in the country right now.

Seriously...how many UGA fans can afford to go to this game in sunny Cali? Scoop you planning on taking a flight out? That would be an interesting counter to read. :-) I guess it's kind of payback for the SEC championship being a home game when UGA plays in it.

need to let the bookies in vegas decide who is no. 1.....they sure dont think missouri is no.1 ( they have okl. picked to beat them).....just ask vegas which team would be the favorite against any other team....and that is no. 1........vegas sure doesn like ga........just 3 point favorite over ga tech......the polls are really sec leaning....look at the current rankings.....highest 2 loss team is ga.....highest 3 loss team is fla.....only 4 loss teams are auburn and ark....it is a shame that the sec has so much political power......they get all the breaks.....
