huge crowds on hand for today's buggy days parade...
in downtown barnesville.

The Miss Buggy Days float was so nice and the girls looked beautiful. Ashley you are a wonderful queen and we are proud of you!
I see James McLarty was in the parade. He was riding in a golf cart and announcing his intentions to seek the office of sheriff in Lamar County. He certainly would be an approvement over what we've got. I didn't even see Buice anywhere around.
The parade didn't seem like it had as much to it this year as in previous years. Did anyone else think that. It seemed that there were alot of stuff missing. Where were the Shriners?
i dont think the shriners have been here since they had that accident and ran over that little girl a few years ago. besides, the shriners havent been the same since troy left us
I chose not ot go because it has turned into one big yardsale. What cheap looking crap.....what happened to the quality vendors that use to come years ago?
They have a police dept to protect and serve the towns folk why was buice not out riding the county protecting all those homes and lives while most were at b days.Well obviously hanging out with the big crowd and politicing was more important,funny how when he wants to show up in the city and look important it's ok but don't let a deputy try to help enforce a law around there his ass will get chewed double standards is what buice is all about.
Actually James was walking more than he was riding. I still didn't see Joe. List all the improvements Joe has made in the last three years. Don't list his campaign pledge to rid the county of litter. We're still waiting on that one. He spends more of his time living in fear of a man in prison. Joe's right up there with Clayton County sheriff Victor Hill. Neither one would make a good meter maid. Joe Joe has got to go go.
They like to walk around and look like they are doing something or should I say play on their 4-wheelers. I dont think they did a damn thing. From what I saw, It looked like the city had things under control anyway and didnt need thier help. Hats off to CK and his officers!
Joe has kept his deputies out of the city since he took office. He doesnt want the depts working together. He has a bad complex about that for some reason. So, why show up in town now....just for publicity of course.
What a shame! You would think most people would want a good working relationship. Its pretty bad when the officers and deputies cant even talk to each other on the phone, much less work together.
There's a lot of whinning about Buice. Yet, that's all I've seen is just whinning. How about one of you people that's in the know post something otherb than a whine. What's your problem with Buice. If you have reasons, spell them out. If you're just whinning to be whinning, we don't care.
the bottom line here is, all of you people that want to a new sheriff better move to a new county cause Buice is sheriff for as long as he wants to be. so whether you like him, or dont like him, get used to him cause he's the best thing going today
Joe said when he was running for sheriff "I'm going to get the deputies off traffic patrol and protecting the people and their homes!" Traffic enforcement is almost all I see them doing, and he just stepped it up a few months ago as if it is his sole responsibility! That's not whining, that's fact!
On subject: From what I saw of the crowds, everyone acted very well behaved, for the most part. I'm proud to be a part of it.
Hey 11:13 he even went so far as to call the v f w a few weeks ago and let them know there was license checks that night and where they would be how about that for politics.
golf carts arent governed under state law the same as cars. if the state legislature sees fit to pass such laws then the carters would either have to comply or be cited.

Golf carts should only be allowed on golf courses, not holding up traffic on a busy street. This aint Peachtree City!!!!

A child in a car has to be in a seat belt then a child riding on a golf carts should be in one or give the driver a ticket.
