And has to be from Barnesville.

Or maybe East Griffin

She is Jackie, from Tallahasee FL.

She ran the 10k and the 5K ... and was off to another race that afternoon... according to her... with change of hair color

She couldn't have run both. Both events started at the same time. You had to choose either the 5K or the 10K.

Well she did, as did many others.

She ran the 10K first and then ran over to the start and ran the 5K ... she also placed 3rd in her age group in the 5K and I am assuming she won her age group in the 10k (but I have not seen the results)

Also note the 2 race numbers on her shorts.

I think she was the only person who actually registered for both distances.

I ran both events twice and then I ran to griffin to work out at the raquet house until 2am. But I do that everyday.

Does anyone know the race director? The finish line was in the wrong place, so the course was too long for both the 5K and the 10K.

You can see the certification maps if you

The finish should have been placed between the College St. and the entrance to the stadium. But it was all the way at the end of Summersfield Rd. instead. The map they gave us at the race showed the same thing but I guess nobody noticed.

The course map says that the finish should have been 128 feet east of the parking lot entrance. But it was actually quite a bit west of that entrance. It was not really at the end of Summersfield Rd., since that road loops around to Houston St.

OK, I understand what you meant.

She might have run both distances, but she didn't run both races. By leaving the course for the 5K she should have been disqualified for that event. Of course, that's just a technicality. I'm sure anyone who ran both distances had twice as much fun!

Actually it was not grounds for a DQ. She completed the 10K and then started the 5K from the proper starting point. She just got a really late start for the 5K.
