The latest creative entrepreneur trying to capitalize upon Michael Vick's legal woes is selling — that's right —, Michael Vick chew toys for dogs. Get it?
We weren't able to reach anyone from the corporate headquarters of www.vickdogchewtoy.com, which is apparently a Jacksonville, Fla.-based enterprise. But the creative minds behind the merchandise are clearly troubled by Vick's alleged involvement in dogfighting, as evidenced by the polemic on the Web site.

I don't know if dogs would actually chew on them since they all will be full of SH#T!

I am eager to see how this will be viewed as racist- Oh I got it, this will remind people of the civil rights era and the dog attacks, kinda like how we can't have a Chain Gang anymore because it reminds some people of slavery.

Wright Thompson, a journalist at ESPN, has written a wonderful story about Mike Vick's actions, the public outrage, and how all of this is linked to the civil rights movement. You see, its not the actions Vick has done, or not done, but the racist views white people still carry around with them from years past. White people in the south cannot bear the thought of a black man being given the opportunity to defend himself in a court of law. We, as white southern men and women, see this case as a chance to demean the black people because of our hatred for all blacks involved in the civil rights era. I congratulate you for getting this far in this ridiculous post but I am being serious about this Thompson guy's column. Go to ESPN.com to read one of the most insane comparisons of two issues you will ever see in your life. It is complete with MLK JR. photos and photos of a MOCK LYNCHING being reenacted. I couldn't make this sh!t up if I tried. Black people- this type of ignorance is what defines your race today, irresponsible and prejudice!

PS- Vick has no degree.
PSS- A federal indictment is not just handed out without very solid evidence and he should be glad the FEDS are involved b/c he would already be guilty of a felony under Virginia law for having dog fights on his property.
PISS- I'm sure all of you thought John Rocker's comments were true even though it was behind closed doors and Rocker said it was taken out of context. The NAACP did and it ruined that kids life and none of his "WRONG DOINGS" were illegal!

If Herschel Walker, Vince Dooley, Matthew Stafford, or Mark Richt were hypothetically found to be involved with dogfighting, would they be "puke" too or would it somehow be okay then? Face it, no one cares about the welfare of pit bulls. This is just the final tool to get rid of Michael Vick. The water bottle was supposed to do the trick, but dogfighting charges will do just fine. After Vick is convicted, I look forward to the investigation of the rumored 50 other NFL players involved in dog fighting. If there is some southern white guys in the mix what will the reaction be?

I mean really, if we are going to have a chew toy of an accused dogfighter, shouldn't we have a doll of an accused child molester that children can take out their frustrations on? Unless of course, mistreated dogs garner more outrage than mistreated children.
zda...First off let me say I am a HUGE Georgia fan...That purposly obnoxious Ga. fan. I can honestly say I would hope Dooley, Stafford, and Richt would prosecuted as well. It takes a real dumb ass and a real manly man to pick up and repedily slam a muzzled dog to the ground. And let me state that I am white, and I am not defending Vick. If he did the crime, (which it is pretty apparent he did) then he should do the time. I am just commenting on the selective outrage concerning certain issues around here. If it is your "boy" then it is fine. If it is someone else's "boy" then it is despicable.

He's accused, convicted, and sentenced, and he hasn't even completed our judicial process of law. I'm not overly fond of Vick but I cherish our system of due process: when it works. I guess it just won't work here. Why? Because of ignorant people.
If convicted then throw the book at him. Until that time he should have every right that you hold dear. By everything that's going on it makes no difference if he's guilty or not. You people have 2 standards. One that is for yourself and another for someone else.

Wow. I am complete surprised at the comments made on here. I am an African American that works very hard for my money. I own my own business, I am a leader and give back to the community, I pay my taxes (including FICA -- see above comment), I don't believe any race white black or the other should live off hand outs. I believe that people should be prepared to deal with the punishment for the crimes they commit. I don't steal rims. don't have rims on my car. I raise my children with my wife and spend time with them. I like football. I liked to watch vick play and I am disappointed at the decisions he's made. And I think it's wrong to treat any animal like it's not a life. However I don't think an animals life is equal to a human's life. I'm not prejudice nor am I racist, nor do I agree with the ESPN article mentioned above. But what am I as an african american, black guy, or whatever you want to call me supposed to respond or feel about the comments posted above like
