three low ball bids received on rudy's..

bidders were david emmons of doucette, texas, sammie shropshire of barnesville and bedsole enterprises which operates the lighthouse near milner.

emmons was the high bidder at $255,000 for the 8,000 square foot restaurant deeded over to the county by rudy vaughn as part of the sentencing agreement for his role in a multistate commercial cargo theft ring.

more where you would expect it barnesville.com

we would be savings money if we let rudy out of jail (wouldnt have to feed and house him) ...put an ankle braclet on him and make him work 8 hrs a day in his barbque house....state and county receive all the profits.....

3:16 said "state and county receive all the profits....." what profits? the place was just about busted before the dirt bag was arrested, hell if they had'nt arrested him for being a thief they darn sure should have for making the worlds most nasty bar-b-q

I still think that the place would have made a better City Hall, Library and Police Station for Milner, instead of selling it for another resturant.

Maybe the marketplace has spoken, maybe Rudy's is not worth what some of Commissioners had envisioned!

One saving grace, if infact, it is not worth what some of them thought; greatfully, they will have less money to spend on their pet projects!!!

"Ridiculously Low", as Commissioner Brown stated may be a ridiculous statement. If so, it would not be unusual coming from Commissioner Brown for he is known for making ridiculous statements!!!

Just because they got low ball bids doesn't mean they have to sell it for that. Don't accept any bids and put it back up for sale. Maybe an aution. With some good coverage to get bidders, it should bring in 5 time more than that high lowball bid. Maybe lots more.
NO SALE!!!!

The high bid is the high bid. If someone thought is should be higher, they should have bid on it.

It may be a nice building, but Milner is not a real estate or restaurant hub.

4:58 you sound like the high bidder that wants something for nothing. If so I hope they tell you no way.

I expect the County to ask for rebids on Rudy's; however, honestly don't think the county will get over $300-$325K range and maybe not that much.

Remember location is very important for commercial real estate, especially restaurants, etc...

Earlier comments were right on, Milner is not exactly a place real estate and restaurants.

Investing in real estate is quite different than constructing a building with drug money!!!

Go tell that to the Light House Restraunt. It's often wait for a seat. Now would that be Milner or Orchard Hill or ?????????????????? Country Kitchen it does pertty good to be in nowhere's land.

It makes no matter where it's at; if it's good the people will make it a winner.

How many highballs does one have to drink before they call a nearly quarter million dollar bid on a property in a nowhere town "lowball"?

DON'T GLOAT SO HARD..RUDY COULD NOT HAVE DONE THE THINGS THAT HE DID WITHOUT HELP FROM SOME POWERFUL PEOPLE..AND THEY'RE STILL IN THEIR PLUSH [OFFICES]TODAY. COMMENTS ABOUT ANKLE BRACLETS ONLY SERVE TO ILLUSTRATE YOUR LONGING FOR THE DAYS OF JIM CROW.

Tell Sammy to take that $ and fix up his own properties so the city doesn't have to pay anymore to have his own properties knocked down.

I would like to clear this up once and for all I hope, all the support that has surrounded Randolph is his family from what I have seen and personally know. I don't know why they are being described as an entourage? What happened in the court room on August 8 was a waste of tax payers money because the epuipment left in the restaurant belongs to Randolph. Judge Wilson has signed two consent orders for it to be returned to Mr. Vaughn. Lamar County is now asking Randolph to sell them the items and the answer is no. Choice items are being kept unlawfully and now Randolph is being asked to sell in order to get a higher bid. There was no hearing and the Judge put the matter off until September I guess giving Randolph time to decide to sell. Nothing good will ever come from the way this man and his family was railroaded into giving up his property and Ben Harris, and the other criminals remain free. This case is not over and the truth is comming out as to what really happened. Remember, God has a hand in this when the justice system fails

rudy was a crook thats all there was to it,a damn rotten thief--that got a light senetence because he joined rock springs church, the law around lamar county is scared to throw the book at any black criminal, get used to it people thats what you and your children have to look forward to in lamar county

I guess the police planted all the evidence, I suppose they just picked him out of the crowd to blame all this on. Get over it, He's a crook, a theif and a liar. You can build him up all you want. He's a crooked ass theif and now he's a locked down crooked ass theif! Good riddance!

Anonymous said...

if he's a crooked ass thief, then what would you call the local judge, the sheriff and staff, city officials? Why not give Randolph his epuipment out of the restaurant and let it be.I bet you are one of the one's that owe him money and any lie or racial comment will do.

Anonymous said...

Actually I don't owe him a damn thing. only meet the man once and didn't like him then! Have you ever smelled a rat? I have!!

IF YOU THINK YOU ARE RID OF WHAT TOOK PLACE IN THE VAUGHN CASE, YOU ARE MISTAKEN. WHITE OR BLACK, THE INJUSTICE OF A MAN WILL NOT STAND AND SOMEONE WILL PAY IN THE END.EMBRACE PEOPLE LIKE BEN HARRIS AND TIMOTHY SMITH FOR THEY WILL NEED IT.

Notice the fact that the Rudy defenders/entourage/hangers-on never mention his prostitution arrest in Atlanta. He was the seller not the buyer.

Anonymous said...

he said this actually happened to you and you are mad because your wife found out.

yall leave poor rudy alone.....he has suffered enough already with the stress of the pretrail and all his legal expenses....yall have taken alot of his money and he is a broken man....please leave him alone....an inocent man should not have to plead quilty just to save a little bit of his assests to provide for his family and his life after his false imprisionment

The commissioners may have thought that the bids on Rudy''s were low ball but that poor banker who loaned the Citgo 1.5 million is going to find out what lowball really is.
