When the SCLC gathers this week to honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr., and the promise of Barack Obama, the presence of at least one more major figure will loom large – Michael Vick.
During a press conference announcing the opening of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference's 49th annual convention to celebrate the organization's 50th year, president Charles Steele noted that the organization would find some way to honor and recognize the embattled Falcon's quarterback who is under federal indictment on dogfighting charges.

I am not surprised. The SCLC, as I recall, supported OJ. Anything that is moral, they are against, if a black person is arrested for doing it.

No surprise at all. SCLC has been missing leadership for years.
This is all about contributions(which have been off for several years now). If there is the slightest hint of a problem, they exert all effort to make it a big problem thereby attracting contributions that will better support the "Rev.s". Their contributors don't get it.
Those racist black groups were certainly quick to condenm & judge those white boys from the Duke lacrosse team when they were accused of rapeing a black woman. But that was ok since it was the other way around. I hope if Vick is found guilty they put about 20 pit bulls in the cell with him.
It will be hard for them to make a racial issue out this since it is going to be other blacks who testify againat him. Hope he is done in Atlanta.

One or two ships off the coast line of a HUGE continent called Africa. These ships could bring MAYBE 200 people that are healthy enough to round up slaves. These people have to go into uncharted territories filled with HUGE tribes of African Natives that hunt and kill for thier supper every night, these natives are NOT an easy target when compared to the slave herders even if they all have guns. What does this mean- you descendants of slaves need to realize that your anscestors were SOLD by your own NATIVE PEOPLE. This does not make slavery right or the people purchasing the slaves less wrong but it is the truth and the burden of blame falls on both parties. come on now almost all of the black guys I worked with were raising pit bulls and rotweilers just what do you think they were raising them for if not to make a profit off of it from betting on dog fights. It has been my opinion that most black people are not fond of dogs so you know that they aint raising them because they love animals.
