richard jewell dead at 43...

Former security guard Richard Jewell, who was erroneously linked to the 1996 Olympic bombing in Atlanta, died Wednesday, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said. He was 44.

Jewell was found dead in his west Georgia home, GBI spokesman John Bankhead said.

He died of natural causes, said Meriwether County Coroner Johnny Worley.

"There's no suspicion whatsoever of any type of foul play. He had been at home sick since the end of February with kidney problems," Worley said.

The GBI planned to do an autopsy Thursday, Bankhead said.

Rest in Peace, Richard Jewell. I know the overzealous persons who attempted to ruin your life, should feel something for you today.

Rest in Peace.

A true story relating to Richard Jewell..

It was in September 1996 which was not long after the olympic bombing and my son was 16 years old at the time and we had tickets for the Braves game at the old Atlanta Fulton County Stadium and the tickets was for seats in left field.

Seated directly in fron of us was three Georgia Tech students and they had manage to bring some whiskey to the game and was mixing drinks with the cokes they were purchasing. The students were having a good time and everyone seated around them was enjoying the company and also the game.

All of a sudden, one of the student jumped to his feet, pointed to his left and shouted, "look there's Richard Jewell". Of course all that understood got to their feet to see Mr. Jewell and of course it was just a practical joke..

A great night for all.

He was a hero whether it was truly acknowledged or not. The media stole his moment of glory and that is sad. D!@# media.

RIP Mr. Jewell...

If I were his heir, I would not let the GBI even touch his body.

After all, it was the FBI/GBI/AJC which demonized Mr. Jewell and treated him like no citizen should ever be treated in this country.

I have no respect for any of the aforementioned enitities. They are all, in my opinion, corrupt, captive to political correctness and in the case of the FBI and GBI typical government agencies!!!

Peace at last!!!!
