have you ever been the victim of a crime....

if so, were you satisfied with how the matter was handled by law enforcement and the judicial system?

Once you get into court, you find out that it has nothing to do with justice or even plain fairness, but procedure and how to make more money for lawyers and judges. Is anyone surprised that our public defender system is running up huge deficits now that it is set up to employ lawyers full time? if so I'd like to sell you a bridge in NY.

Does having your future father in law, meet you at the door with a "White Laced Shotgun" and escort you to the waiting minister, count?

I was the victim of a a robbery about twenty years ago and the SO dept. way back when didn't do anything about it. My how times have not changed. So don't come on trying to say that this Sheriffs administration is any worse than way back when. I feel that if I should need to call the SO for anything I would get a quick response. Or at least I hope so. Go get 'em Joe!!!!

My wife's purse was stolen from her car. A witness recognized the culprit. In less than an hour he was captured by the Barnesville police and most of her goods were returned. A few months later a calculator that had been in her purse was found and returned also. The criminal got 1 year and was out walking around about 2 months later.

Just keep your guns loaded and with ya. A .44 magnum has proven to be an effective measure against crime. The Sheriff's Dept is just for chalking off the lowlife scum that you waste and file reports.

Left my wallet on the counter of a convenience store. An employee took the wallet, removed the money, and tossed it in the trash. All was caught on tape and the wallet was retrieved from the trash. The response from the BPD was that there was not enough evidence and the only action taken was by the store management firing the employee. I never even got a follow-up call from the BPD investigator. I guess he was getting a self-colonoscopy. What does this say about crime fighting?

Yes sir josey better to have IT and not need IT than to need IT and not have IT! DONT BE A VICTIM!

SO and BPD work together to destroy the innocent. It's about who you know and not about justice in Barnesville/Lamar County. New Victim's Advocate needs new job,as police harassment, brutality and relying on unfounded truths is not objectivity. Unlawful detainment is also a thorn in the side of the innocent. But for being Black and intelligent, such incidents would not have happened.
