If the Babe got a hold of some roids he might have hit a couple of thousand or so homeruns.Instead he smoked,drank,and ran women this off the field conditioning was frowned upon too.
Never once has Bonds failed a drug test of any sorts (this is a fact.) Unfortunately our society has become less reliant on facts and more reliant on opinions to draw conclusions. As of now, he is the homerun king but A-Rod will most likely be in a 7 to 10 years.
Records were made to be broken. Contgratulations Barry. Now set another new standard for somebody to beat. I am not a fan of Barry Bonds, nor was I a fan of Hank Aaron. I just like baseball. Also, Congratulations Tom Glavine, 300 is a milestone, and a trip to Cooperstown. Good luck on the remainder of your career too.
All I care about is this huge stack of Bonds rookie cards that I bought years ago. I'll buy him some extra injections if the price of the cards will go up.
Perhaps if baseball had a serious policy against steroids (or even a policy at all for most of Bonds career), he did not break any rules. It's not cheating if it's not against the rules!
Aaron had a better exercise & diet regimen than Ruth. Had he smoked, drank & ate like Ruth, he probably would not have hit very many HR's.
Ruth began hitting HR's after several rules changes in the early 20's. Plus some of his HR's before 1931 would now be considered ground rule doubles.
If Bonds was a little more friendly with the media, his HR chase would be getting more positive attention than it is.
Regardless of whether you like him or not, he will soon be the new homerun king.
Why care? If he is juiced up right now it doesn't matter. Beat your wife, snort Coke, do roids, just don't bet! Baseball is around just to keep us busy until football season.

if someone sniffs 9 jocks does that make him a team player?or do you have to also quote the stats of each player while your doing it?do you get credit for jocks that have more sweat on them than others?i think there might be a market for that kinda stuff--just think have a little machine in the sports bars the spits out sweaty smelling peices of paper that have different ball players uniform numbers and stats on it, wholy smokes you would make a killing,i can see it now ----look bubba its A-ROD here i'v got a dollar quick get me a sniffer slip

11:27am, that was Gary Sheffield who said "it isn't steriods unless you shoot it in the butt." Bonds has not failed any sort of prescribed drug test through MLB...the media just leaves out that important piece of information. As someone else pointed out earlier, he just has never been super friendly with the media and payback can suck sometimes.

Mark Maguire is white. Sammy Sosa is latino. Bonds is black. All three might have a hard time getting into the hall of fame for the same reason. Steroids or the implication of steroids. I personally think all three are juiced. They grew too big in too short of a time.
If he hit the homeruns then he hit the homeruns that made him the homerun king why should it matter if he was on steroids. Do steroids give you that much power that you can not do it without them. It was my opinion that he hit the home runs honestly and he deswerves the title. But baseball just aint what it used to be back when the braves had some real players.

O just found out that preseason football is already on. I can't stand to watch any sports and especially the ones that are played out of season like football. These guys will probably fall out from the heat. Maybe then they wouldn't pre-empt programs.
