would a few death penalties in these cases put an end to it?
how stupid can you be?

HANAHAN, S.C. — Two young children who had been left in a hot car while their mother was at work were later found dead, their bodies wrapped in trash bags under an apartment sink, authorities said Tuesday.
Autopsies were scheduled Tuesday to determine what killed 1-year-old Triniti Campbell and her 4-year-old brother, Shawn Campbell Jr., Berkeley County Deputy Coroner George Oliver said.
The children's mother, Sametta Heyward, 27, had taken them to work Monday in downtown Charleston and left them in her car all day as the temperature outside rose to 88 degrees, Oliver said.
Officers investigating a report of a disturbance at Heyward's apartment Monday night found her crying and yelling, "'Oh, my babies,'" according to a police report.
A man holding Heyward told officers "the kids were in trash bags and under the cabinet." The police report said Heyward tried to bite and kick the officers, had to be restrained, and was taken to a hospital because medics thought she could be having seizures.
"She stated she wanted to die and asked officers to kill her," the report said.
Neighbor Brandon Coving said he saw Heyward and the children on Sunday. "They were running around, and she had a big smile on her face, and it seemed like a regular day," he said.
Hanahan is about 15 miles north of Charleston.

That's just horrible. There's not any words for it. The woman was either irresponsible or intentional. I think just plain irresponsible; and because of it her privilege to parent those 2 children has been revoked. I'm a firm believer in the death penalty for certain cases. The death penalty is a good deterrent for others not to commit the same evil act. In this case though, the deterrent of loosing your children is enough. May God sustain her.
She should be left in a hot car all day long just to get a taste of the suffering her children endured. The she should be execluted. How can anyone with any common sense think that is the right thing to do to your children. Some people don't deserve to have kids if they treat them as possessions that have no feelings. This world is full of crazy people.
I thought it was natural for a mother to protect her children. I am learning differently. I cannot believe a natural mother can be so callus.
What a terrible thing for those children. No doubt the woman was desperate and mentally ill. She should never be allowed to have children again.
I haven't heard any official word on this, but from what I've seen on television reports, this woman appears to be of slow mentation which could account for her inability to reason that leaving children in a hot car in July in South Carolina might be detrimental to their well being. Not saying that she should go unpunished or anything like that, but I do expect her mental capacity to come into play in this case.
She is a Democrat.
No further comment.
I think George Bush should do something with all these hot cars, you know, make em cooler.
democrat.
Seems like hot cars are killing more kids than guns......Aint it about time Kennedy and those other liberal idiots do something about it.Maybe background checks and a 60 day waiting period or just ban cars period.
Come on now "her mental capacity or lack there of" is not to blame for her leaving those kids in a hot car all day. With no water and the temperature above 150 degrees what was she thinking! Dumb stupid bitch.
Hang er high!
what about the girl in macon leaving her baby in the car at the hospital? Hang er high tooooo?
I can't help but notice the name Campbell.
That is the name of a soup company right?
Sorry, but couldn't help myself.
She should pay for what she did and I should be smacked for writing what I wrote.
You posting this story but I didn't see the one from Macon,GA. when she told lies saying someone stole her baby knowing she had let the child in the car. You don't forget a baby you forget a birthday sometimes but not a baby in the backseat. These people need help.
