michael james turner (shown in mugshot) has been charged with malice murder, felony murder, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and aggravated assault in connection with the shooting death of his wife, teresa buckner turner.
mrs. turner was ambushed while on her way to work yesterday and shot six times.

I am so sorry this happened. Mrs. Turner's daughter is a neighbor of mine. All of us in my family are going to pray for the survivors of this murder.

the BPD investigators were nowhere near this case as they were working another case with someone the sheriff's office locked up FOR them at the jail. "anyone near that house is gonna get subpoenaed to be a witness" is what one of them said when asked why they weren't helping with Griffin's search warrant.

I cant speak on everyone at the BPD but there are some very nice officers that work there I have had to call them out to my home and the officers that came out were very helpful, respectful I think they handled my situation effectively and in a timely manner Officer Kendall was so respectful and polite when he entered my home and Officer Evans was the same I thank both of them greatly

I can't speak for the BPD, since I live in the county, but the morons at the LCSO terrorized my son and his friend for about an hour one day because the nosey neighbor called and accused them of breaking into the house.They surrounded the house armed with rifles pointed at two kids sitting in the living room eating Pizza and watching ESPN!! then they jerked them out of the house and handcuffed them, and threatened to shoot if they moved!! Finally, when they decided they were legitimately there, they accused them of smoking marijuana! These kids were 16 years old, and scared to death. AND there was no juvenile officer present during the whole entire fiasco. Only thing our great Sheriff could say is "well, we have a large drug problem in Lamar County and drug addicts burglarize homes to support their habit, so we have to investigate every complaint". Fine, but there is a difference in investigating and terrorizing kids one of whom was in his own home. IDIOTS. If they concentrated their efforts on the real KNOWN drug addicts in this county, instead of turning a blind eye to those scumbags, they could use their scare tatics quite often for a legitimate cause.

No it isn't a moot post. The SO didn't "investigate" a complaint. They assumed guilt and terrorized my kid and his friend. They were overly agressive for the nature of the call.
I heard about that and the funny thing is that they call themselves investigators....all the pictures of your child hanging on the wall should have give them a clue. Barney Fife could have figured that one out.

Why did your kid need to break into the house if he is 16 yrs. old he should have had a key. The neighbor did you a service by contacting the SO and the SO did you a service by responding quickly.
The problem was not with the neighbor calling or the SO responding, its how the SO conducted themselves once they were there.

5:51, yes, they surrounded the house with guns pointed at the house and when the kids were jerked out of the house and handcuffed they were facing multiple guns and threatened with "boy you move and we'll shoot". The only reason I posted about this incident is because nearly every blog here is hijacked by the LCSO "discussions" in which someone gets on here and starts all the agressive posts in support of the LCSO. It isn't necessary and I'm sick of having to scroll through their BS posts to get to the relevent stuff so I decided to post a true story about the LCSO. I'm sure there are many other positive things people can say about them, but unfortunately our one and only experience with them was bad, and you know what they say about first impressions.
