FBI investigating whether NBA ref bet on games

Bets were made on games during the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 seasons.
NEW YORK - The FBI is investigating allegations that a veteran NBA referee bet on basketball games over the past two seasons, including ones in which he officiated.
According to a law enforcement official, authorities are examining whether the referee, identified by CBS Sportsline and ESPN as Tim Donaghy, made calls to affect the point spread in games on which he or associates had wagered.
The law enforcement official, who did not wish to be identified, said the referee was aware of the investigation and had made arrangements to surrender as early as next week to face charges. The official, who did not identify the referee, is familiar with the investigation but was not authorized to speak publicly about the ongoing investigation.
The law enforcement official said the bets involved thousands of dollars and were made on games during the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 seasons.

Hey Scoop, there is a big difference between the NBA referee and Pete Rose and that is Pete didn't bet on any games that he was involved with. Can't say the same about the NBA ref.
her name was sara starks and she had a milner address but i believe she actually in spalding county. story is she and her husband, herman, had some problems and he had moved out. this morning he waited on her to get off work to try and talk to her. she refused. he followed her, along with her mother and daughter, to express where she went to pick up her check. he shot her while she was still in the car. her mother and daughter fled into the building to call 911. he shot her again and then stabbed her several times. needless to say she died. he got back in his vehicle and waited for the police to come and arrest him
There isn't a nba ref who could hold Pete Rose's jock strap.
with all the drug addicts and thugs in the hall of fame it is wrong for pete rose not to be there
Professional Sports Figures appear to believe they are above the law, and above being of high character.
They talk about character all the time, but I am convinced they dont have a clue to what it means.
The difference being that Pete Rose is white and the referee is probably black and therefore feels entitled do walk around doing whatever he pleases.

Whether black or white there is no difference if you are wrong you are wrong. Don't idolize these sports people who do criminal acts.
This site has become a "hotbed" of racial slurs and insults. It might be time to give all that crap a rest as nothing good can come from it. Scoop, you might need to use the edit button more often.
why is it when a white person tells the truth no matter how hard it is to hear, he is labeled a racist. white people can't say how they feel because they are afraid of being labeled a racist. you want dialog but dont want to hear the truth even though you already know.
